Shabby Chic Lightbulb Vase DIY

This beautiful Shabby Chic Vase was created using an old lightbulb cup purchased many years ago. I painted it white and went to town turning it into a gorgeous single stem vase. I used my favorite napkin to decoupage the outside and decorated it with flowers and laces with a beautiful bow and tassel made with shabby laces and fabrics. This piece will be available in my Etsy Shop if anyone is interested in purchasing it.

I love these light bulbs I got some from hobby lobby a couple years ago and I put 3 different sands and seashells in mine😊. But I like yours better ❤❤

Hi Carol, You may remember me, (Susan the retired florist) from a previous comment where i suggested angling the roses on a slant back to back. Well I'm here to make another suggestion about your dilemma of holding things while trying to (tie it) create it. May I suggest using very thin floral stem wire. Just a couple of loops around the center of your bow then with the tails of the wire you twist them tight and cut the remainder with your wire cutters (or use the tails of the wire to connect the bow to your object if applicable.) Sometimes I have used the wire from the stems of the paper roses. With the fullness of the fabric or lace or with one of your blings, the wire is hardly noticeable but the bow or tassel is firmly secured and tight in the center. You'll also find that it is very easy to fluff the loops and tails of your bows in the direction you want. The bulb is very cool.

I've searched for years for a napkin like you use. Did you buy it from a Etsy seller. It's ok if you don't want to share. Your creations are always outstanding. Haven't seen one I didn't like. Can't pick out a favorite. Look forward to seeing your tutorials and sharing with us crafters. Thanks

Beautiful my girl. Is this a glass or acrylic bulb. I’m wondering if it would be possible to use a light bulb? Now I’m going to watch the Boho Bag tutorial lol. You are amazing.

It’s glass. I’ve seen videos where they make ornaments with the real ones. The only difference is that this one has a flat bottom
