Love these. I’m fed up having to re-do paper decorations after they get squashed. Can I share my top glue gun tip. When you put a new glue stick in. Pop a dot of hot glue on the end of the new stick to join it to the old one. Then you don’t lose the continuous flow 😊😊

Thanks for the tutorials! I’ve made three of your no-sew ornaments, Scandinavian Star, quilted ball, and now this. This one I used 2 1/2” squares and scissors to cut the strips about 1/4”, so I could have one small enough for my tree. A little tricky being so small, but turned out very well!

Couldn't you just put the heat and bond on one fabric? it seems a waste to put it on both sides but maybe it's needed for the stiffness?

I've been watching your tutorials for about 6 months and every project I've done following your instructions have come out beautifully. I really like the free pattern downloads. The whole set up is perfect. I had made these snowflakes with paper and disappointed they barely lasted a week and forget about trying to store them. I was so happy to see your instructions for fabric snowflakes. Thank you.

This is beautiful and so easy! I watched this first on my phone, so came back to see the big screen. I thought of cutting & fusing larger pieces of fabric to cut my strips more easily, (as a viewer mentioned) however, I can see why you cut the strips for each one, as it reads better on You Tube and there are beginners who like and need the more precise instructions. Thank you so much, this is awesome.

Just came across this video and can't wait to make some! I made a quilt for each of my grandchildren and will make a snowflake out of leftover material for each of them. I give them a Christmas ornament each year (so they'll have a collection to take with them when they're off on their own) and was looking for a homemade one to make this year. Add a to/from and date on each. Perfect. Thanks! 🇨🇦

I hope to make at least one of these this Christmas season; they are beautiful! While out shopping last week, someone had a lovely remnant and must've decided they didn't want it. Or perhaps they were hiding it to come back and purchase it later. It was not in the remnant bin but left with the bundles. Anyway, I spotted it while going through the bundles. It was 3/4 of a yard of beautiful blue, glittery snowflake fabric! Yes, I bought it and plan to use it to make a 3-D Snowflake. Guess it was my lucky day! A tip for moving your ruler/square: Use a suction cup hook like you'd use to hang something on a window. They come in different sizes and for a smaller ruler or square, they are the perfect tool to help pick up and move the square without disturbing the fabric.

Merry Christmas everyone! Your tutorials are fantastic and I've made 18 folded fabric ornaments and am working on my third 3D Fabric Snowflake. To say your projects are addicting is an understatement. Here's what I learned from the 3D Fabric Snowflakes: They are easy and they are fun! The first one was a bit more of a challenge; I worried about glue oozing out of the sides and it was hard (to me) to cut. The second one was much easier to cut, perhaps because I wasn't as nervous about it. Here's a suggestion for the Heat n' Bond (Ultra Hold) Cutting fabric larger and trimming it is good; however, there is waste, or more waste if you cut a full inch off after trimming. I cut my fabric into 6 1/2" squares and the Heat n' Bond into 6 1/4" squares. Place the Heat n' Bond on the center of the wrong side of the fabric. This does not have to be exact - you can eyeball the placement. When you place the 2 fabric squares together, align the edges as closely as possible and press. No oozing onto the iron or ironing board! Trim the squares down to the 6" needed to complete the project. You may find cutting them larger works for you and I know once you make one you'll want to make more.

Had WAY too much fun making these.. while i didnt make the star, i did make individual components as Ornament gifts. i added the detail of using alphabet beads as well as decorative ones to put each recipients name on their ornament. came out a treat!!! oh and i modge podged each ornament to help it maintain its shape (i found if i was even more careful when cutting, it was easiest to modge podge while the two layers were flat (before folding/cutting) cutting was a tad harder but end effect was WORTH it.. thank you for my gifts i was able to give!! (i would enclose pics but dont know how here) -- happy holidays to all

This is a brilliant tutorial. I have made one and as Jennifer says they are easy to make and look lovely. I used to do a little bit of sewing before I got into quilting and crafting and showed my sewing teacher the picture of the snowflake. She too thinks it's great and has asked to show her how to make it. I hope that doesn't create a problem. I have told her where I got it from. Please let me know if you are against it. I pass on Jennifer's name and shabby fabrics to all I come across. You have an amazing team.
