Shade Tent Canopy with lost or Stuck Spring Buttons How to Repair - This repair is done on a 10X10 Slant Leg Canopy which gives about an 8X8 shade area. It is a good inexpensive canopy to use as a temporary cover for yard equipment or for short term outside shade. I bought it in defective condition from a discount returned-items type store for about $20 and repaired it as is shown in the video. The aluminum tube tool used in the repair was taken from an old pecan pick-up tool and was modified a bit by squaring up the end somewhat, but use your imagination for this portion of the repair. A square tube of about 5/8" I.D. might work also. The clothes hanger wire used in the video was bent to have a small hook on the end to retrieve the displaced spring button.
