the ants were trapped in Jeju Island. theres no bridge for those ants to crawl. Thats why them having wings is a problem. They eat everything.

Taito Ban is killing it. Crazy to think the majority of most episodes so far is just him solo monologuing and it's not boring all the supporting characters seem to be well cast too

Finally we are through the tutorial, this is less than 25% of the way through the manhua so we have a lot left. Season 2 already announced and I believe it'll be ready in less than a year. Additionally, Shadow Monarch is supposed to be an upgrade of the Necromancer class, the way they explained it was a Fighter evolving into Berserker or Mage into Archmagi. I don't think anyone expects his class to be a necromancer when he finally completes the Job Quest.

In jeju island, they abandoned that island because they could not contain or kill the ant queen, but on surveilance for a few years, they did not know that the ants would evolve, that's why they are shocked at the end when it grew wings...

What the manwha and anime doesn’t explain (no spoilers don’t worry) what’s explained in the light novel is that Jinwoo feels a instant connection with the shadows he “arises” so he is genuinely sorry to let some of them go, I think the manwha shows this more with Jinwoo tapping one of the soldiers chests sympathetically before he lets them go back into “nothingness” But yeah he apologises because he does actually feel sorry.

In the LN when he was leveling with Jin Ho, he was thinking of going to the demon castle. He remembered the red named monsters in the penalty zone and decided to skip the daily quest to test if he can survive in the demon castle. Once the job change quest showed up he drops everything, scams Chief Ahn for the remaining dungeon gate permits and proceeds to the job change quest, it was noted previously that it was bothering him that the system listed his job as None. During the quest he was leveling but didn't recover his stats. As he was fighting in the penalty zone he noticed he wasn't leveling during the survival part of the job change quest. Before leaving the penalty area the systems informs him that he has attempted to hunt in the penalty zone, the difficulty would the adjusted accordingly next time. After he gets back he attacks the mages and completes the job change quest. Also the shadow army was not mention it said an army of the undead which answers only to him. After that he was upgraded to the Shadow Monarch. IMO that way the story makes more sense. Also they introduced the S rank hunters so early and had to give them something to do. And now i wonder if they will change how the Jeju Island raid happens. Because the original story made sense to me because of the little Korean history I know.

i wish they showed the part where jinwoo tap the knight chest while apologizing for waking it up. i wanted to see how that knight really reacted. cause in the manwha it just looked confused.

Relevant buffs and stuff u missed or the anime didnt include. Knight killer: gives +75 attack ( A LOT ) in addition to the 25% increased damage vs armoured opponents High Knight's gloves (Right): Stops Damage to that hand which is why the sword slices didn't chop his arm off multiple times ( left was never specified in the manwha or novel) If targets are too strong or dead for a long time shadow extraction might fail. A1 Pictures Says they wanna do 6 seasons only the second season has been officially announced. IF they follow through at this rate Jeju island is probably gonna be season 3 or 4

As someone who read the manhwa i have to say I'm very pleased with the adaptation. The only complaints i got is that some of the comedy i liked wasn't added in the anime. There are a few scenes that felt more impactful in the manwha as well, but I'm talking about VERY FEW scenes. I'm really looking forward to Season 2 now :)

Season 2 is gonna be so good especially with the first mini arc that is gonna take place. Alot of great fights and scenes coming up. Hopefully we dont have to wait until winter 2025 and it comes out fall of this year.

I don’t know how true it is but I just saw an article that claimed Crunchyroll confirmed it to come out in the “fourth quarter of 2024” so maybe we lucked out.

@justmando9488 hopefully that ends up being true bc there are some pretty crazy scenes and fights coming up with the next 3 arcs they are probably going to cover on season 2.

Jinwoo raises the souls of the dead and uses the mana from their dead bodies to give them new bodies. So raising them doesn't cost mana but if the shadow gets destroyed/killed it takes more mana to recreate their bodies which has to come from Jinwoo. Also when the shadows get raised, their abilities get nerfed somewhat, they CAN eventually get back to their original strength but it takes time and effort.

Jinwoo was innocent? No... it is the quiet, innocent seeming ones that harbor the darkest and deepest of nasty thoughts. Shadow capes could still get caught up in shadow rotors though.

Solo leveling is a classic power fantasy story, but it is executed perfectly. Every power up keeps you hooked to see what the hero is going to do with it. The world building is great and progresses smoothly, never making you wait too long to unveil a mystery... Great show. (still prefer Frieren thou :p )

Unless I’m mistaken aren’t each of their gear crafted by the most skilled craftsman and provide ample buff. We did hear a lot of exposition about how resources can be used to craft weapons and gears. How hunters use weapons and learn techniques to make themselves stronger since their power cannot grow like Jinwoo. Although regarding the cape that Choi wears I would definitely agree that it’s for the design choice but in terms of story perspective think of it as a legendary tier grade equipment he bought and is wearing.

@@TheGenreVerse Oo I haven’t bothered watching the Incredibles , I’ve seen the family posters and memes though every now and then. The other super hero movie I did watch was Bay Max. I’ll keep the recommendation in mind.

What hurt the experience of hype most was the .5 episode that was followed by one of the slow episodes in the tik-tok cliffhanger fashion this show has a setup episode and a steam release going back and forth every week. If that didn't happend it would have had more traction. But yeah the last two episodes were dope. And from here on out we only pushed the pedal half way to the metal. Is it best thing made since sliced bread, NO. But within the small field of power fantasy it is at the TOP of pushing and pushing the character to reach higher heights. It is not your MC has to overcome the even footed foe - it is the edge life beating the step above foe, by smarts, will and luck (and it tries to stay consistent and don't pull of to much ex machina moments). Sure that is cheese in many ways having the MC trapped on deaths door every second episode. But isn't it fun in it's own watching ridiculous power grow beyond the sanity. So there it is with Solo Leveling. Not for everyone, but it has the charm of the turn of your brain and just enjoy the show feeling. And with how well executed the animation in the critical places were and what the voice acting and back ground music adds it is a good show.
