One of the creepiest soundtracks I’ve ever heard, whenever I hear it I can picture Yuri and Alice battling weird and creepy creatures. I wish Spotify would have one of Shadow Hearts soundtracks at least

Honestly the bass on this is sick. easily one of my favourite songs and favourite battle tracks. Some part of me wishes this game got a full remaster/remake.

I live how this series always manages to throw in these random ass vocals and make it harmonize beautifully with things like bass guitar, violin, and piano. Imbroglio especially is pure music perfection with the bell sounds

I completely agree with you on this one about the vocals and their symbiosis, it may sound strange in appearances at the first time listening but it's really fitting in the musical background and atmosphere and also quite cool, very original to say the least but it works well
"What weird soundtrack" The first time I heard it but then it's grown in me

the way you get the good ending is awesome. Like fighting against the intended "mask" mechanic.

Are you by chance referring to the track "Survival on the Street of Insincerity"? I believe both songs are using the same time signature.

Imma level with you all, I really wish the vocal track didn't exist in this song. It doesn't feel like a real person actually sang it and it was put there as a key-shifted sample of some kind? It's also really jarring and abrupt. Same dealio with the Europe boss music. The rest of the song would have been fine on its own.

The "giant mosquito humming right next to your ear" vocals are iconic though, if they weren't there the song just wouldn't be what it is
@spunchbob6520 Жыл бұрын
really? imo you almost never hear vocals in a normal jrpg battle theme so i think its why this one is really unique
@quinnabon Жыл бұрын
@@spunchbob6520 Kinda have to agree with OP on this one; I think Brain Hopper would easily be the best song on the soundtrack if not for the synthesized vocals that essentially render it "music I can't listen to around anyone" and ruin the experience when engaging with it as music rather than a backing track for combat. There is a good reason you rarely hear vocals in combat themes ... I am having Witcher 3 PTSD all of a sudden

Song wouldn’t be what it is. Listen to all that percussion going on, that high hat would drive me crazy without the vocals offsetting

Nope Shadow Hearts OSTs are what they are because of the unique mix. I wouldn’t want it composed any other way.
