Tbh It feels like they just made the whole aspect of Eternal Sleep just a slight upgrade to normal sleep like it just doesn't seem like it works like how Thiollier's Concoction and even just ingesting the Nectarblood of St. Trina you die after taking that stuff but for eternal sleep for other stuff yeah no its straight up the same as sleep

And the fact that it is useless against 90% of the bosses makes it useless... I really wish they wouldn't do that. Like seriously let us have some fun with status that aren't bleed and stuff ffs.

Kinda dumb that bleed can remove like 10% of an enemies HP, but god forbid i want to sleep it for ~3 seconds occasionally. lmao JK they're immune.

a fun fact about the needle is that you can use it's skill, while it's in the left hand without 2 handing it. And that's the reason why I really like the needle.

I love this new version of sleep, I just picked up the Velvet Sword the other day and I'm having a blast with it. I keep it in my off hand with Milady in the right hand and use the two handed talisman, then I just switch up two-handing each one... first put 'em to sleep then Hypnotize them with my stance, then buff Milady before delivering the final 5 hit combo it's famous for. Absolutely Love the purple sleep colors and effects. Interesting mechanic but would be most ideal to buy time to heal or mana up rather than a main attack in my opinion.

Basically, another status that's only useful on pvp, and to boot, is the weakest of all. I think From could at least make the eternal sleep sword as a Long Light Sword, they added a fackton of new straight swords and only 3 LLS, they should've used every chance to make new weapons for the new categories instead of just making more weapons for the old weapon types.

Bro they do not care about sleep, a sleep incantation would be great or spell or something like some other sleep weapons, add it like bleed on the weapon or an ash of war that would apply sleep or eternal sleep onto the weapon, it is so tiring farming 10 hours just for velvet lily.

Sleep doesn’t seem to do anything though? At least when the game launched I could use dual st Trina’s swords and people would sleep longer than they do now, obviously for balance issues but ai seem to wake up faster then the old player sleep animation. Like I want to play sleep build for the crit but what’s the point when I can just party and crit WAY easier…

In pvp you are better off with the regular sleep, it procs faster and does the same thing.

I don't know imo sleep has always seemed pretty useless literally the only time it ever seems useful is against the godskin duo. So in the rare occasions it seems to make the most sense just to use pots or I guess if your weapon your using can be greased. The weapons don't really seem worth the effort.

Regular sleep swords are better with 66 sleep buildup, the new sleep sword is 42 sleep and less damage For pvp it’s 🚮

I swear to god the moment I got the sword I was so happy just to realized the F@cken thing is useless on bosses. They could have made it to just stagger bosses and it would have been usable in PVE instead of making it an exclusive weapon for PVP, and the worst part of it, it's not even that great in PVP.
