I like that seeing Alice for the first time, you'd say "oh she probably has some cute or graceful bakugan" but actually, she has a freaking dark hydra monster with her. I like that they did that. Kind of a cool lil twist in a way.

Yeah. I appreciated that fact too! But I guess that Masquerade came first in the concept art, and later on, they decided to have a plot twist and make Alice the real person behind the mask. Still a badass contrast.

What is controversial with this battle is the fact that Shadow’s life gauge should have went zero after Hades got destroyed. It just ruin both Alice/Masquerade’s last battle.

Also, at that last part, Alice could have easily activated Indigo Nightmare to boost Hydranoid's power by 300 to match the spider Bakugan's power so that Hydra wouldn't lose but she didn't...

@@arcticwolf6402 even if she did, shadow had his gate card and also I think there’s an unspoken rule in this which is that strong moves can’t be used very often, usually like once a match. So maybe it was on cool down?

If there was one thing I always HATED in New Vestroia, even when I was a kid, was the way the writers just shafted Hydranoid and Alice. First and foremost: Hydranoid's base power level was LOWERED to 500G while Tigrerra and Gorem had theirs raised to the same level. Why? Just why? Hydranoid is a whole evolution level above them, why not raise him to 600G if the other S1 partners were getting buffed? Besides, Hades has a starting level of 600G and he's supposed to be a 1:1 mecha copy of Hydranoid. Secondly: Why did Alice just stay behind when Runo and Julie outright joined the Brawlers for the strike on the Alternative System? They sure could've used any additional muscle... Great season overall, but barely any Alice and Hydranoid sucks badly.

Lads listen ,i have a theory of why hydranoid was weak in new vestroia . Out of all the original bakugan he was the only one that we know off to be experimented on and i think they removed power from him to make hades , and because alice didn t have the warior mentality that masquerade had . Prime Alpha hydranoid with masquerade dogwalks shadow.

Also: how come Dan was able to use double ability and triple ability from the start, but Alice that has all of Masquerade's experience was only able to use a single ability card per time?!

Regardless of he act Alice win or not, I didn't like the fact Chan Lee is seen this one episode and never makes a return for some reason. Season 3 started with everyone can play bakugan again so why we never saw any of season 1 brawlers? Edit: 9:05 I just noticed this now, they are using the same scene from season 1, you can tell from the background

What bothers me is that Alice lost, Masquerade is Alice, he is her, not the other way around Everything that Masquerade can do, Alice can also can, only it seems that they don't even want to give this girl a win More than anything, I understand that she lost the first round Damn I would have understood if Alice lost a second time but if in the end it ended in a victory And more to how they could take 50g from hydranoid, and lose against mc spider since he has the mergeshild card It's made clear in Bakugan 1 that Alice knows how to strategize and play Bakugan very well but she just doesn't. I understand that chan lee would lose.... if she hadn't already used sad face, sad face allows you to cancel skills for a certain period of time

Hydranoid should have had his g-power increased to 600, bot decreased to 500. But then, Alice and Chan would’ve won because Shadow had 100Gs left on his life gage thing. And for some reason the writers didn’t want them to win.

Alice and Chan separately took 200, Chan took 200 by beating Fortress (Fourtress had 400 and Trap had 200), and Alice took 200, Hydranoid had 300 and Hades had 200, the fucking health bar is 500, Shadow still had 100 health

I have no problem with the fact that they lost. Alice destroyed Hades which is enough acomplishment. BUT the inconsistency of If two or more Bakugan are in battle will their G power be combined or counted seperate ? THAT bothers me. Shun and Baron vs Volt have it combined but this battle have it seperate and there are other examples of this and that is bothering. For an example If their powers were to be combined then they would not lose and SHADOW would lose because He would be out of LP when Hades got destroyed and even If he wasn’t out of LP, Alice and Chan would NOT lose since both would only lose 20 percent LP since their combined g power was 300 so Mac spider’s 500G would only make them lose half of the 200G difference and thus they would go another round or two against Shadow to conclude the battle. AGAIN My problem is not the fact that Shadow won or Alice lost but the fact that It is inconsistent that why Alice and Chan’s Bakugans were not counted as having combined G power

It is combined when the bakugans join forces. For example, at episode 16 when spectra launches his bakugan trap its seperate. But when it joins Helious it gets combined. Also when is a battle of 2 vs 2. The power get combined. When its 2 vs 1 it gets seperate.

It's a shame about what happened to Hades really, but honestly it was - in a weird way - rather satisfying to see Hydranoid do that as well. I honestly don't have anything negative to say about this battle really, other than Hades being destroyed, because it was the first battle I saw with Hydranoid and Fourtress (I saw Hydranoid's older battles over a year or two later I think), and honestly the battle was rather entertaining in its own way. It's fine if you disagree with me on this though.

This always confused me because didnt Masquerade leave in season 1? Like Alice and Dan tried to get him to stay and he straight out refused because it wasnt his destiny. He glittered away, never to come back but now hes back, though faintly and his masked is all fixed. It was cracked the last time we saw it. But here it seems like Alice is afraid of Masquerade coming back? Or afraid that she'll be evil and wont have a sheild of Masquerade to blame all the wrong doings? Was him glittering away just for show? Because Masquerade always had a thing for flashy entrances and exits. Dont get me wrong he is my favorite character, and I was mad that he didnt have more impact in the show and that his bakugan was just nuked. But this scene makes me feel like Masquerade is still alive and is always watching in the shadows. Which wouldnt that be weird for him if Alices decides to have a family??? I know the writers didnt think that far but it must be boring for him to see Alice do nothings not related to Bakugan anymore. That man wanted to win and be powerful, he had a goal. But now theirs no goal. I always thought of Masquerade as his own person, even though hes just a persona of Alice. I mean he was created from negative engery.

despite what people say, i think shadow deserved the win here, he never really ever won that much, and come on. He was gonna die in this arc anyways so hes gotta look strong, they said he was one of the strongest in vestroia. He got beaten up enough man, but also defeating hades was kind of a win for them anyways, cause he literally just lost one of his bakugan

+what about Chan Lee. She has never won a single battle on screen. And Alice and Hydranoid, after that epic Masquerade reference, deserved that win as well. Season 1 Hydranoid would've floored most Bakugan in New Vestroya, but they really nerfed him...

@@arcticwolf6402 I’m attributing Alice and chun lee’s loss to a lack of experience with the gauntlet method of brawling, cause we all know dan is a natural, Marucho and shun are good too, so I think they lost cause shadow pretty much used the gauntlet method pretty much his whole career. And for Hades beating shun, well i think it’s cause shun may of been going easy in the first round cause he thought it was hydranoid, but it could also be that Hades was just that good but you always see Hades’ flaws in double battles, one of which was showcased earlier when he was fighting Nemus and Drago at one of the dimension controller locations but I’m not sure, he used saurer cannon which leaves himself wide open to attack as it uses up all of the energy. And Alice clearly preyed upon that, using Ring Zero as soon as shadow used saurer cannon, which I think caused Hades to malfunction as all of the energy was flowing but then it got cut off. So no I don’t think Hydranoid is stronger than Hades, no way, Hades floored him in the first round even with chun lee’s help and remember: Alice and masquerade are different, Alice is a housemaid.

And so pretty much, if Alice didn’t have her gate card in round 2 she would of lost early due to saurer cannon literally giving Hades 900 Gs, you can look it up it’s that overpowered of a move

if i might point out ther personal issue with the vexos apparently trumping all of season 1 brawlers even if they were godlike like season? like if you ask me. with this dummy power creep. you'd literaly need omega leonidas and his ability omega eraser to fight these idiots. like hydranoid, tigreara, preyas, gorem?????, heck wheres cycloid or tentaclear. i personally think this was when bakugan fell victim to the same disease shows like it always do. the power creep.

I'm sorry but I don't like what they did to Alice. Nothing wrong with the battle, its just that I wanted her to also join Dan on his Adventures too throughout Vestroia so she can get a more better character Arc. Like imagine she also joined in the Resistance? Since she feels so sorry for murdering Bakugan, even though she saved Earth during the Naga invasion, why not go help more in New Vestroia? She could learn from Mira who has to deal with her brother being evil like her grandpa and they can cope/assist each other like sisters. Plus it would be cool for her to grow thick skin rather than when the moment is dire, and she constantly running away, she would learn from Mira how to better herself. Not to mention WHO WOULDN'T WANT TO SEE HYDRANOID VS HELIOS!?
