To be honest I didn't even realize shadows can wallrun and double jump until I did it by mistake by trying to do the wall bounce at the Cage and I can't wall bounce for shit, so yeah... Then I also realized it was written in the game mode's description so I felt a bit stupid about myself, but it was my second or third game. Never played Titanfall though, the best experience I got was Tribes Vengeance which is a de facto daddy of Titanfall. Still this mode showed me how 2D is the mindset of people playing it. No wonder I like to dunk on them with Pathfinder.

@@skirata3144 Not true when the mechanic is a purely skill based one. You need a certain sensitivity just to function properly with advanced movement, many players can't handle higher sens in Apex already and many people just don't know how to do this shit. Hell there's still people in Titanfall that dont know how to do this shit and its the entire point of the game. Making guns completely inaccurate while on a wall is probably all they could do to balance this as a universal ability, making it into a global, passive mobility tool, where you still have to either drop to the floor or move in a linear movement (Jumping off the wall) before your aim stabilizes again, or you'd just have lobbies where anyone that doesn't know how to do it is immediately getting stomped and the people that DO know how to do it are likely sweating so hard it makes plenty of lobbies less fun. Advanced movement in Titanfall was accompanied by a pretty chill community, many players didn't bother to bully less capable players, I've even "Befriended" people in matches and called a truce, even though I could easily have murdered the fuck outta them with little effort Apex is more competitive, less friendly. It lacks that chill, so it'd be a pretty frustrating experience. That's literally what Fortnite is now. The people that don't really know how to build? They just get fucked in the ass. Fights between people that DO know how to build are extremely sweaty, there's no chill and not much conmunity building. It's hyoer competitive. All in all, I think Apex is better off leaving wall running out. Maybe give it as a tweaked ability to a future character, sure alright. But giving it to everyone, as it is in TF, that'd likely ruin the game, and I'm TF|2 vet that sunk plenty of time into learning how to move. Fuck I've probably put more time into the gauntlet alone than I have some full games. There's more to this whole conversation than just a gameplay mechanic, fun would almost definitely take a pretty big hit.

Yeah my friend sent me this when I wondered if we would ever get wall running in a legend, since a lot of legends have bits and pieces of pilot movesets. I now see why just wall running and nothing else would be really hard to deal with in this game, I was thinking about it as a tf2 player that could deal with wall running by well... Also running, not being stuck on the ground.

That alone wouldn't make a heavy impact on the game, since people already kinda do it, it's just cumbersome and looks absolutely stupid. After all the Shadow Royale version just gets carried by double jumping and the ~60% movement speed bonus.

Same This should have been the default movement system for all legends. Not having titans in a battle royale game is understandable but ditching the movement system was the reason why I quit Apex after a few games and went straight back to Titanfall 2.

@@joshuadorman4655 A compromise would have been adding a legend with full Titanfall 2 mobility as its power. But judging from that footage it would probably still be too op anyway... It just feels like there is not much in Apex for a diehard Titanfall fan which is kinda sad since both Apex and Respawn are built on the back of the Titanfall franchise and its playerbase. They just took the Titanfall setting and twisted it to fit a different playerbase. Hopefully Apex's success atleast enables Respawn to create Titanfall 3 in the long run (without having its movement toned down to accomedate Apex-onlys ofc) .

@@countofelysium9070 it doesnt evven have to be a hero tbh, it could be a game mode that just isnt removed; perhaps eve a hybrid of this and arenas would be sick too. Cos titanfall movement vs apex movement is only really fun for one person on this game, so i think the most sustainable mode would be one that puts everyone on a equal playing field ygm (ignoring skill level). and remember most people tend to prefer feet on the ground gameplay, thats why cod BO3, IW etc didnt do too well compared to the normal ones. For apex to succeed it has to cater to the masses in my op, and we just arent the masses. A character like that would kinda unbalance the game or see very little playtime if theres a high skill ceiling. with balancing already so hard to achieve, adding that whole level would mess stuff up, it may even result in us getting nerfed titanfall movement, which is arguably worse as we would never get the seamless one we all love so much yfm. i heard somewhere that titanfall 3 may never come, and we'll just get that kind of content within apex. if its true its a tough pill but deffo better than nothing
