Welcome! My name is Jface and I'm a TTRPG & Board Game enthusiast. I'm in the midst of creating my own game, and as I go through the process i'm exploring what makes other games work so well. I’ve got 3 more videos to make for that TTRPG equation video. My own design is waylaid while I create the Character sheet. I’m TERRIBLE at that sort of design, haha. So that would not be fun for people to witness Thanks as always for tuning in and chatting, Dru

Having played and run a campaign. I really enjoy the system. Very streamlined and not bogged by crunch. I have added conditions & rule of cool from old school Cyberpunk. Other than that I roll with RAW

What I really enjoy about no skills or feats is that it doesn't rope players into one way of thinking. Feats are cool but limiting. Player think they need a feat to do something cool. That's were Rule of Cool comes in. "You want to do what? Give it a shot, don't roll a 1. " I also expanded on what a luck token can do. I also Play/ Run Savaage Worlds, I borrowed from the Bennies rules. Kelsey created a nice tidy rule set.

It is interesting how much more dynamic the movement becomes when there are no opportunity attacks. Quick note, Foci spells (concentration) are rolled each turn and continue until the roll is failed. Failing a foci roll does not lose you access to the spell.

Totally agree with the lack of opportunity attacks adding more motion! Also, appreciate the Foci info. I knew I dropped the ball on that in the moment

Wait till you het to doors and lock picks: theirs no tables or tools for either of those in Shadowdark. The Shadowdark gear is lacking more than just a hammer there's also no slings. Quite disappointing vs D100 Dungeon.
