Shadowhunters 2x05 "Dust and Shadows" Season 2 Episode 5 Sneak Peek - Clary takes desperate actions after the attack on the Institute in “Dust and Shadows,” an all-new episode of “Shadowhunters,” airing Monday, January 30th, on Freeform. So Alec hides out on Magnus' fire escape. It's cute like he wants Magnus but doesn't wanna directly ask for him just be near him. The talking is very healthy. But can this please not be the only scene in the entire episode with them

Seriously, how fucking perfect are they? I love their dynamic. It's so grounded and honest. They have such a beautiful chemistry, that doesn't feel forced or fake, it's very pure. I love those two silly little kids. Fine, older kids. Fine one is very, very old. Still love them.

Paige Simons 88Meava88 Well, Germany is my neighboring country, I'm from Czech....And yes, while you have 8 p.m. or 9 p.m., we have like 2 a.m. or 3 a.m.....And I am still student of secondary school, so I can't watch it, I would die at school :D ...So I have to torture myself till Tuesday afternoon, when I finally have an opportunity to watch my babies♥ Yeah, many many TV shows we, people in Europe, have a day after a premiere at USA :)

What I love the most is the fact that while Magnus is giving comfort, he is also setting Alec straight by not babying him. When Alec says he can't face Clary (OH MY BABY BOY, ONLY AN EPISODE AGO YOU HELD SO MUCH DISTASTE FOR THE LiTTLE RED HEAD), automatically and without missing a beat Magnus said "But you will" It wasn't harsh, but it wasn't like Magnus was trying to coddle him either AHHHHH Just their whole relationship this season I am helplessly in love with. Just bless the writers for not doing something stupid with them; making this relationship healthy, mature, and honest to God, just so pure. I love too that Alec isn't as jealous as he was in the books about Magnus's past lovers (or I really hope he isn't)just as I finally feel like it isn't forced (as in parts of season 1 I did), and I can't wait for more Malec moments (since Clace is a no go in the mean time, and Sizzy hasn't been played with yet).

Well, yeah, I'm enjoying this romance more than I should. It works. It's not all hugs and feels and kissing. It's emotional, it's direct. It feels Shadowhunter/Downworlder.

Not using the healing rune on his hand is a reminder of what he did when he was possessed. He can not forgive himself. I can not wait to see how the writers will bring Alec and Clary to an understanding of each other. If the do it right, it can be one of the best friendships on the show (Simon and Clary friendship is more monumental). If there is one thing about the show that I like, it is how they are writing Alec and Magnus. Taking their time to do this right is a good thing. Now, what are the writers planning for Luke?

I LOVE make, but it's cuter when Alec worries about seeing Clary. Clary knows it wasn't him who killed her mom but it still bothers him and the fact that he's worried about people's reactions are just reasons why Alec is my favorite gay shadowhunter

its so adorable that this scene reflects how much alec trust magnus for him to see him in his vulnerable state, he says he is fine but he believes magnus could see past that and thats what he needed the most.

My heaaaaart !!! Malec relationship is so perfect ... They understand each other no matter what, their chemistry is amazing, they are perfect for each other. I want to cry every time they have a scene together. When I start a new episode i'm like "oh well okay, what about Magnus and Alec scene?" I could definitely watch an entire episode only with them both !!!

Prynne alec was straight up an ass to clary when he meets her n yes it was becuz he was protecting his family from someone He sees as an outsider even after finding out shes a shadowhunter to and more important he was in love with jace himself and jealous ..not 2 mention his constant blaming her for almost everything thats gone wrong..Alec forgets the fact that it was clarys mom that made clary clueless about her heritage.She was thrust into a world she never knew existed. not to mention Alec pretty much blames clary for the choices that jace has made. its like in alecs eyes jaces choices and the conseqences after are her fault

I think the age lift some of the characters went through for the show really helped mature some of them. Book Alec was a seventeen/eighteen year old boy and new to relationships. Magnus was probably just a little too much to handle for his first relationship. He was pretty naive.
