Agnes Pedersen there's very little malec but it's there, if you're solely reading for the purpose of malec, I wouldn't waste your time, the show definitely does the ship better justice

Agnes Pedersen if you're talking about the lydia and alec wedding, lydia is an original character in the show and does not appear in the books so the answer to that is no.

Oh god, I'm not okay with that. Malec is in the book, but only after the 3. Even if we don't see them a lot at first, we've got a lot of them in the 5 and 6. And they are better than in the show,in my opinion.

I've read all the books as they came out, then in chronological order - try to forget i ever saw the movie - and then the series started....I've only watched it in full 4 times and loved it. Now thank goodness there is a new trilogy ,exclusively about Malec, only the first 2 have been released and they're AWESOME,can't wait for the 3rd! But,though I'd deveoped my own idea of all the characters from reading,I've now totally put Matt Daddario & Harry Shum, in my head, as the physical embodiment of both Alec & Magnus. I still can't get enough of watching them,it's not just the amazing job they both did in the series,but,I can imagine them in the MANY many more scenes from ALL the books and wow,it's fantastic.
