SHADOWING in Russian - Lottery - IMITATION technique

Speaking a foreign language is like a performance! It’s not just about grammar, it’s about feelings, emotions, and expressions. Not only WHAT you say matters but also HOW you say it. That is why the Imitation technique (aka ‘shadowing’) is so effective!

Imitating a Russian native speaker improves your pronunciation and expression faster than any other speaking practice.
How does it work? Each lesson consists of 3 steps:
1. Watch the video and read the text. You just need to understand what I am talking about. Look up some words in a dictionary if you need to. Watch as many times as you need.
2. Here you have pauses after each sentence. You need to copy me 100%: words, stress, pauses, intonation, facial expressions, and gestures.
3. This is the most challenging part - you try to speak WITH me. It might not work the first time - just try again and again.
By copying a native speaker, you are teaching yourself to communicate in the most natural way!

Приве́т! Представля́ешь, кака́я ра́дость! Моя́ ма́ма вчера́ вы́играла в лотере́ю миллио́н рубле́й. Ты понима́ешь? Оди́н миллио́н рубле́й! Она́ купи́ла биле́т на по́чте, стёрла ве́рхний слой и всё, там вы́игрыш! Я до сих пор в шо́ке. Мы все так ра́ды! Как ты ду́маешь, на что она́ его́ потра́тит?
TRANSLATION:
Hi! Just imagine, what joy! My mom has won a million rubles in the lottery yesterday! Do you understand? One million rubles! She bought a ticket at a post office, cleared the upper layer, and that’s it, there’s a price! I am still shocked. We all are so happy! How do you think she will spend it?
