Canadian judoka Shady Elnahas took a silver medal at the Grand Slam in Osaka in 2018. He took bronze at the Grand Slam of Ekaterinburg in 2019. He won the Pan American title in 2019 and 2022 in Lima. He took silver at the Grand Prix in Montreal. He captured the gold medal at the Grand Prix in Zagreb in July. Shady bagged Grand Slam gold in Tbilisi in 2021. He took a fifth place at the World Championships in 2021 and fifth at the Tokyo Games. He took silver at the Grand Slam in Baku in 2021. He won the Commonwealth Games in 2022 in Birmingham.

Spanish judoka Nikoloz Sherazadishvili became World Champion in 2021 in Budapest and 2018 in Baku as first male World champion of Spain. He finished seventh at the 2020 Olympic Games. He won European Championships bronze in 2018 in Tel Aviv. He was born in Tbilisi. Nikoloz fought the World Junior Championships final in 2014 and in 2015. Nikoloz won the Grand Slam in Brasilia and Abu Dhabi in 2019 and gold in Paris in 2020. He took bronze at the Grand Slam in Tel Aviv in 2021. He took silver at the Grand Slam in Antalya in 2022 U100kg. He claimed bronze at the Grand Prix in Budapest in 2022.
