Now I understand why he has so much pain in his voice!! He lived a hard life, so much struggle career wise and plus such strict family and they didnt have faith in him!!! I am so glad he is doing well now. I Just LOOVEE Shafqat!! He is so good!! I mean I terribly miss fuzon, but I get it, if he cant go back to being in that band!! But Just loooooooove Shafqat's voice!!

He’s such a reluctant speaker as if he’s guarded. Didn’t know about his struggles but glad to know him a bit better. Have heard his nohas as well. Unlike other singers, to me his voice reflects pain which ppl can relate too.

One of my fave singers, he has an amazing voice. I had the privilege of listening live to his elder brother the great Asad Amanat Ali as a kid many times as he was a close friend of my Abu's close friend. Those memories have stayed with me ever since, what a powerful, soulful voice he had. I believe those experiences influenced my interest towards soulful music. I was always told how even as a kid i always liked the most meaningful songs. I have heard great things about Shafqat, how he is a great family guy. I met him recently at a wedding. I don't think he achieved as much as he should have esp with the talent he has. Maybe he needs to work on his marketing skills?!

Samina Peerzada has managed to create the most phenomenal show of Pakistan that not only inspires women, but also men. However, she needs to stop promoting "fair and lovely" because it is a fairness brand that promotes the color complex amongst young women. Please, you'll get more sponsors, your show deserves it. There is a reason why music in our tradition is called Sangeet...literally means along with song....going by the raw etymology....song (geet in ancient language geeta ) which the singer is doing ......to accompany the geeta we have instruments or vadya and nrtya or dance ...overall the setup is called sangeet...so singers will take the centre stage in our music tradition....unlike western traditions where instruments take the centre stage.....a instrumentalist has to be seriously good to be prominent.....so shafqat sir was right while saying that the singer will always be the center of attraction

I can relate to him totally with my up bringing pattern .. though I am asked all through my life you must be privileged being only daughter in the family .. but the fact was the opposite .. and yes its true you never can express yourself if you grow up that way ..
