He didn't say that! that would actually give a negative connotation to India and Indian cinema, what he did say is there's nothing unique he can offer to go and be casted there as a lead. He wouldn't want to be a character actor in Hollywood rather he wants to make Indian movies that are technologically as advanced or better than Hollywood hence his works like Ra One, Zero, Fan all which pushed the boundaries for VFX in Indian cinema.

Jaby, next time you visit India, please try to include at least the four largest metros of Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai. That way, you will have a better picture of kind of the four corners of India (or nearabouts). Then, if you still have time (and the resources and the patience), you could take in one or more smaller cities.

One of the best directors karan johar once shared an incident when he informed the mayor od DC that srk was coming (i think for shooting of kabhi alvida na kehna) and so they can arrange the security etc. They thought that they have managed the likes of tom cruise so its not a big deal.. but the day srk came all the trains and roads were jammed because everyone was pouring in like crazy and the mayor was surprised like who the hell is he😂
