I'm from Iran and while yes Biryani was invented here and the kabab cooking techniques were as well, however when it came to India/Pakistan it became the great dish it is today because it took sophisticated Persian cooking techniques with the amazing abundance of spices and combined the two , fusion cuisine for its time.

First things first the biryani must have gotten cold by the time they started the test and the reason Hyderabadi biryani got famous is because no two biryanis of different hotels in Hyderabad tastes the same because most of the restaurants and hotels have chefs or masters that are cooking for literally decades so after many trail and errors they end up getting unique and that can't be replicated any where else because the essence of Hyderabadi biryani is it's uniqueness but when served in different places other than local (where people can't handle much spice) it loses its essence because it is being Cooked with some particular result in mind . And at last after seeing you guys vote for pakistani biryani my mouth is watering and I am really interested in trying it hope I like it

Biryani was invented elsewhere, but it was perfected in Pakistan, Karachi in particular. Such is the case with a lot of other dishes as well.

I am from Hyderabad india last year in November I went through nanakana to Karachi and I taste Karachi biryani really Its very tasty I forget Hyderabadi biryani after eating Karachi biryani my advice for every Indian please taste one time Karachi biryani you will remember this for a long time.

@Daania's World Ohh Yeah. I have ate briyani in restaurants but never came across briyani named Hyderabad or Karachi. I have ate Arabian's Briyani (I dont know what exactly it called) in Restaurant.
