“A booming voice startled me. The sky was blue, the trees were green, and the flowers were pink. Am I actually awake? I got up from the shallow end of a river, and drew onward...Six Limbs and I” (Ficitious story building for the bootleg ^ Not an actual quote from Shakey)
This bootleg contains a wide rang of moods and performances that demonstrate how fluid he is in putting on a damn good show. No performance is ever the same. My hope is that if anyone ever asks Who/What Shakey Graves is, that this album can answer that question. I did my best in EQing when necessary, and de-clipping distorted audio when capable for a good listening experience. As well as made edits for smooth transitions.

Thanks for giving the ok in allowing the various bootlegs to stay up. I only ever made this channel to have fun and keep an archive of some of my favorite artists coolest live performances. It's been fun also trying to keep the reddit engaging, and I've met other people on there because of your music. I recieve DMs from people on how you've affected them for the better, and it's incredible. Nothing but respect for you man. -J.P

He’s very humble about his skills...he’s created a style that’s all his own. So many singers/musicians, tho talented, have a generic quality to their art...but there’s no mistaking SG’s sound for someone else!

I've been listening to Shakey since around 2014. I've seen him live several times and watched so many performances and interviews on KZfaq as well. He really has such a distinct unique sound and his tone is so soothing. Love this guy's guitar skills and improv skills. Shakey 4 ever.

crazy how after like 6 years now I'd still say Shakey is probably my favorite artist of all time. If you ever split this up into tracks and throw a download up let me know!

HIs playstyle is unique and hes got so much skill, not many artist come close to his style. And of course, ive been thinking about making a MP3/ .wav of all tracks sometime when im free. I'll give a heads up, thanks for commenting!

Thank you for this cool compilation and the thought and care you put into it. Shakey is special and I miss seeing him live.. hope we can get back to big jam parties together again real soon. I miss live music terribly, but this is a great substitute in the meantime

Some cool info about that track, The song on Shiny Goats is a Shakey song called “04-23”, He made it for the “A Home Unfamiliar” visual album project. The conversation you hear is from his Philly Folk Fest set he had as an interlude. I thought it would be perfect to combine both of them, and was amazed that there lengths fit each other 🔥

@@wingp.7127 It's not a quote, It's a made up story. I wanted to do a bit of story building for this bootleg. In my mind, it's after his "Can't Wake Up" Album. I don't know how to rephrase it or quote it as fiction? Should i write (Fiction) next to it?

@@wingp.7127 Also, I named it "...Six Limbs and I", the elipses (...) emphasizing that the title is taken from a sentence. That story is the sentence/ title of the bootleg.

Yeah, those Hole on the Wall performances are from his 3 livestream events that happened a few months ago on Mandolin. I ended up recording all 3 shows, but opted to just putting out random songs. I think only a few of us screen recorded them. Shakey has still not re-released the live show, so I’m guessing they themselves chose not to record it. And Thank you! I planned for months on end on putting together a bootleg for fun of some of his cool tunes, I’m so happy with how it turned out!

@@graciana.13 lmaoooo, probably drugs haha. I edited together two sources to make that interlude for the bootleg. The conversation Shakey is having (With his friend Wes?) is from his 2020 Philly Folk Fest concert movie ( kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hNeffJaV3b-bhas.html ) it plays without context after "Laughing All The Way To The Bank", I thought the conversation was so strange yet significant. And the music you hear is a very rare Shakey track most people don't know about. You can hear the instrumental here ( kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nrpmitKiqsq8pJ8.html ) It's a film where artists were asked to make a song or video that conveyed what the current world was like (Peak Covid) and so Shakey wrote that synth tune. I thought both the Shiny Goats conversation fit perfectly with the song, and BOOM, i combined them both to make that interlude. Glad someone loves listening to the interlude as much as me lol
