spanish speaker here, and i just gotta say that her new song is amazing. the lyrics are phenomenal, because she uses word play to encorporate her exes name and his new gf. for example, her ex goes by “pique”, in the song there is a line where she says “yo solo hago música, perdón que te salPIQUE” which translates to, “i only make music, sorry if i splash you”. another example, piques new gf is named clara, and in the song, she has a line that says “tiene nombre de persona buena, CLARAmente, no es como suena”, which translates to “she has a good persons name, clearly it’s not how it sounds”. This is why the song can’t really be translated into english, because it can’t keep the same irony and wordplay as the spanish version.

Do you think she really cares?? My girlfriend's husband did the same & she cried to the mistress. The mistress told her to get over it, it happened to her too. Well the mistress married him,. They had a car accident shortly afterwards. They did recover from injuries, but a few years later, he shot & killed himself in the hotel. He left only 2 letters, one for the daughter (he had with my friend), and one for my friend, telling her, he regret leaving her. Trust me, it is better to tell the person it's over & move on. Cheating is so low down and disrespectful and you will pay in the end.

Even if she says, "I don't care, whatever". She's dying inside. Grant it she's a decent attractive girl, so she could get another, BUT if she's "aged out", then that's a whole different issue for her.

Now it's been discovered that Piqué had another person besides Clara, he was also cheating with an attorney that's 22 years old. Clara was also 22 at the time she started seeing Piqué, that's the reason behind the line "I'm worth two of 22" (which is also played at the 2.22 min mark). So sad! Why do people cheat??? True love and loyalty is really too expensive in this world today. We are seeing more people are more loyal to friends than to their own spouse. Minds are becoming darker and hearts are becoming colder. Love is just a game and hearts are seen as toys. When will the cycle end? The younger generations are not getting the opportunity to grow up in homes where there's abundance of unconditional love, deep understanding, respect and healthy communication. There's too much unhealthy communication, disrespect, unfaithfulness with alot of parents. There's too much conflicts, cheating , separation and divorce now. Children are growing up with this and parents are just heartless as clueless about the damage they're causing to their own children, family and other people who are involved. And then the cycle continues from parents to children to the next generations and so on. Morals and values are extremely low. Sad! Just sad!

This huge age gap relationships don't usually last forever, especially if the woman part is a lot older. And both of them are superstars in their own field which makes it even more difficult to stay faithful. They have a lot of opportunities. And both of them are former cheaters, which is a characteristic.

@@Dittoks12 So I googled to try and find out what actually happened and apparently Shakira celebrated Pique's win in the 2010 world cup one month before the official end of her relationship with de la Rua, according to a post she herself made. Of course we can't know for sure if she cheated on him or if she just delayed the announcement of the breakup to the world but I can see why people would think that maybe she did cheat.
