Because that's what a lady do and because being and being quiet are not the same thing. Do you start yelling to your neighbors everything that happens between you and your partner? I'm sure you don't. And, if you do so, your neighbors would yell you back. Telling you that the arguments between you and you partner are none of their business. She has the chance to tell her ex anything she wanted. And nobody had to find out. Like she used to do when they were together. They have two children and this excessive publicity is not the best for them. She can stop it if she wants to.

Shakira. One of my all-time favourites am sad and 'mad' about how things have turned out in her relationship with the father of her two beautiful children. Honestly, I love Shakira's music, all her songs and I have heard most, she is creative genius one of the best of the best. But she left the door open. Should have married him. I always thought she took a risk, was somehow careless not to make her grounder firmer by tying the knot with Pique , apparently her conscious choice. All is well as long as she is now not full of regrets. She clearly had the advantage in many ways. I am here for Shakira but the stark reality is, money is far too often not enough even more in the world of celebrity to hold a couple with an age gap of 10 years together forever especially when the woman is older. Ask Mariah, ask Katie Holmes, and to an extent the reverse Zeta, Solange, etc. On the same logic what is Pique up to himself? His new girlfriend Cara is 23 so 13 years younger. Might the shoe not soon end on the other foot, his? So back to Shakira and Pique he was not richer ,he is not richer, never was but she is and was 10 years older. When they met when he was 24 that in today’s world commonly means have children later. God has been kind Shakira, she is still ontop in her music career and she is blessed on the looks front too, but he was younger and one has to consider Pique perhaps was more mesmerised with her celebrity status. She really left that door open. He apparently took being unmarried to mean cheat. Who is to say 23 year Old Cara is likewise not mersmerised by Pique's celebrity status ? Well, he is left Barcelona, so. "Clara and Gerard are out here going to weddings together and riding scooters in Paris", Yahoo News At 36, let's admit Pique like many young people today could just be warming up for a first marriage. Imagine he was a father at 25 years of age . How many his age and status are now, were then? It seems his parents, at least the father is glad the son who he could have been thinking was 'manipulated' and or had lost most of his 'youth', is now free. Many of this century's parents would not consider their 24-year-old offspring, daughter or son 'husband' material, ready for diaper changing duties. Ring or no ring, 24! So marriage was one of the best ways she could have avoided being in her shoes today, where Pique is on Instagram posting pics like he has found his future wife in an 'age mate'. Showing us he is young, carefree and not changing diapers and free of the school run, riding scooters in France. If I was Shakira I would take the 10 days of access to the children and leave Pique the 20 days a month then see how many weddings he can attend, how many scooters he can ride in Paris and how many in the 1st place. Let him do the school run. Mothers! Always putting loving their before themselves. But ask Pique, was he really at 24 / 25 gushing about becoming a Dad? If he was, then apparently gallivanting with Clara around Paris on scooters won't convince me. To many he will not appear to be losing sleep over Shakira and his sons moving to Miami, to almost the opposite side of the world. Considering Pique's Father apparently is he who evicted Shakira and hence sons from their Barcelona home! The very home presumably she and Pique shared or owned before. What has Pique's father been waiting for to happen she seemingly had no qualms to evict Shakira? In this world people are mostly selfish. Should have let him put a ring on it. He Pique was caught cheating Was he just looking for a wife? Here is the takeaway, put yourself first in any personal relationships and seriously think long-term. Chances Cara would have less to rejoice about if he was a married man. But just check Shakira's chart status, world records. Looks like she should have ditched any 'rats' long ago.

When you have kids with that person, you can never "move on", you have to learn to accept new family dynamics (unhealthy ones at that), and it's a lot harder than "moving on".

Although suffering isn't a competition, what you are comparing her topic to isn't even on the same level . DA is very serious and not something to take lightly. Thankfully, this isn't what Shakira is referring to.

Also, just when her third " song" came out, she said she made it " for all those women around the world who are suffering quietly". Those women wish her suffering was due just to the end of their relationship. Not because all the awful things they go through. Many will love to see their partners go forever instead so they won't be beaten again. She can't compare her situation with those women. She kept the house, she has legal authorization to take the kids out of the country, she kept all of her money...the only thing she's not having is the man. And a relationship in which not even her was happy.

@Carmen Gonzalez I'm not qualified to help anyone understand she isn't talking to DA Survivors. No one should consider it the same. DA is a CRIME. What she is talking about is the common affair. There's no need for an excuse to hate on her. It's everyone's free will and all. But as a child of a mother who almost didn't get out alive, I think this DA view is from a confused angle. My mother and I love the songs, we like her and we wish her AND you well.

@@7466ypb as a DA Survivor myself I see her dragging too much attention to her case which is in no way as dangerous and difficult as a DA one. One song, is normal, two... ok, she made two. But... Three songs one after another just talking about the same BS? And, a video in Valentine's day singing about killing her ex and his new girl? In caso you don't know, the same week her song with Bzarap came out, the body of a women, decapitated, with her hands mutilated was found in Spain. Now, THAT'S SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT FOR MONTHS AND MONTHS. That's a real tragedie. But she keeps going on and on with the same. And now, she's using the press to justify herself. To tell the truth, hate is not needed at all. I don't need to hate her. I want people to open their eyes and stop letting celebrities and the press manipulate them. Because,she's not the only one who does it. Many do the same.

@Carmen Gonzalez No one is going to argue that there is absolutely not enough being done in regards to DA. But that said, most celebrities are just doing their job, including Shakira. The media outlets are pushing the narrative, yes for months, because that's what sells and if people didn't like it, it wouldn't get this much attention nor make this much money. The songs were recorded last year but were released now in phases. I'm so sorry for what you had to survive. My mother is now well in age, and she still has so much trauma and scars from it. I'm so glad you are giving a voice to DAS and I hope in this new era change for the better takes place.

Shakira is the female version of Prince Harry... Many, many of us in Latin America and Spain are so tired of her four songs against Piqué, so she's not that "strong".

That's not true. I'm from Mexico but with friends I made in an exchange program while in Spain. What we all noticed is that these new songs are bringing Shakira to the younger generation who weren't really listening to her music that much anymore, and they are LOVING it. She is once again a favorite in many music charts . By the views and plays on media and music outlets, radio, and billboard charts, she's a favorite worldwide. Her "strength" obviously resonates with so many, or her songs wouldn't be making this much of an impact.

Another misogynist😂 These are all songs that were recorded between two years ago and last summer/fall. They’re coming out in a specific order and time to showcase the different stages of the breakup. But of course, you didn’t get that. You think that her chart topping Spanish songs are somehow tired… guess nobody’s streaming then 😂

Get over it! Then again she's following Taylor Swifts example who's written songs after ending her numerous relationships, however briefly, and has made a bundle! I'm not a fan of Shakira, I don't listen to that type of music. But I wish her well and hope she heals. I just wanted to see what all the fuss was about.
