At Least The Canon version of Hao is Slightly Nicer than the 2001 version of him. The 2001 Version would've never offer Yoh and his friends a ride.

The 2001 version also gave an offer... In fact, the main difference is that we just got less back story than the 2001 version.. In fact, in the very end... BOTH versions started a massacre and mocked the enemy while trying to kill everyone and was stopped. The real difference was HOW it was stopped and the exact events... but the base of the events were still kinda the same. X-laws failed to kill Hao, Hao slaughters all but 3... Lyserg learns his mistakes.... Hao tries to take the King of the Spirits, and they have to team up to stop him. And the reason it's so similar is because most of the way till the Patch Shaman fight in America was kinda the same... The real difference is that this time, the writers could modify stuff because they knew the later chapters... OG wasn't a bad adaption until the end... but the characters were still done right... just less backstory, less characters and different way Yoh and the others saved the world...

They didn’t show Faust. He was just chilling because he so high on morphine that he won’t feel any pain upon landing. He just stitched him self up afterwards
