Shaman King: Master of Spirits (GBA) All Bosses (No Damage). It is Metroidvania style platform-adventure video game developed by Konami for Game Boy Advance in 2004. The game is based on Shaman King anime / manga.

This was one of the first ever games I played as a kid without having my brother help me through the hard parts. I remember feeling so proud of beating the ice boss, then getting lost in the skeleton platforming segment and eventually putting this game down forever. Now through KZfaq I learn my 10 year old self never even made it to the 3rd boss of the game

I remember the sequel being better. I think it had better gameplay and a lot of quality of life improvements over this one. Plus you got to fight Zeke in the end as opposed to some rando.

Don't get me wrong, I like this game a lot and it made my childhood very... "entertaining" but GOD, I had more trouble navigating my way to the bosses than I did fighting the bosses themselves!!! The factory stage was H*LL!!!

Joco was the hardest for me to no dmg, if he starts his attack when you are near him you're screwed, did you use a certain tactic or just luck?

I’ve gotta replay this because I feel like I’m going crazy. I remember at the end, you fight the Spirit of Fire and win, so Hao just lets you keep it. I think the Spirit of Fire was the “Advancing Wall of Doom” type boss. I swear it was the first game, from the first boss being Rio, to the interface, the opening, the overworld map, yet the final boss doesn’t line up in my memories. Maybe I just looked up the second game years later, saw the Spirit of Fire boss in that game, and got my memories mixed up.

Been playing it again recently, and it definitely holds up. It was among my favorite gba games as a kid and I'd say it's still among my favorite. Id even go so far as to say it can comfortably sit with the best.

Lyserg is my favorite character. I got a soft spot for smart character with long range attack using chain or whip such as Lyserg, Andromeda in saint seiya, Kurapika in HxH, or Kurama in Yuyu Hakusho.

Is this a Metroidvania game? Also I wish more developers would continue to make platformers. The only developer I know that still makes them is Nintendo and I’m very happy they still do. Aside from that it’s mostly indie or small developers like Edmund McMillen, Wayforward, and Inti Creates. All of which are awesome in there own way, like: Edmund teaching players through gameplay rather than tutorials, Wayforward’s unique approach to platformers like needing to switch colors in order to jump on specific platforms or solve puzzles or using a cane to jump on enemies heads, and Inti Creates focusing purely on 2d action, retro-style games, and being very Japanese.

yeah. the first game had it where if you got a new weapon admidamaru attack changed, but in the second game its direction plus spirit. in order to equip other spirits you get items like headbands and wristbands to equip them. plus lots of equipment and a shop you can open on the map any time. really fun game

my dad bought gameboy and decided to be smartass probably and bought cheap pirated shaman king which had broken save slot. or well, maybe the smartass was not my dad but the guy whom we bought it from, after all in my city we can't get good shit. now i play it on my emulator and god i hate this game...
