Shamanic journeying...words that evoke such simplicity and spontaneity that I really do not understand why we had them result in something so complex and difficult to do.
In this video I will give you my very personal techniques for shamanic journeying, these techniques belong to the tale of my life hence they are very precious to me.
They are also perfectly in tune with the land where I live, the north Norwegian
Sápmi.
Hope they can inspire you.
All my love
Freyia

it's hard for most people to let go of the mundane mind chatter without artificial aids such as drugs or alcohol. Letting go of the moment and entering another state has to be practiced. Many people cannot achieve it since the discipline to calm the mind is lacking. I had to practice hard because my mind always was with my profession - helping people, seeing trauma and misery. The environment is filled with artificial vibes, frequencies and vibrations which can overpower the free-flow of human brain waves...but once I am outside in the woods, I am free to go where I need to go, the chatter is gone and I go on my journey

Densely packed with information and detail yet powerfully poetic at the same time. Had to look away from the screen to let the mind process and there you were speaking only to me. A little Journey in itself. Returned to ordinary reality with cheeks burnished by the cold northern wind and air. Thank you for the beautiful experience!

Guh! That drum with the sun behind it is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen...amazing camera work Daniel! I will say it again, but the way you play that drum is so metal Freyia \m/ - I love it! The relationship between this primal, visionary realm of rhythm and abandon is what I love about the connection of vibrational sound and vision. I am so honored to be shown the way you approach shamanic journeying as I feel I've been fumbling with this for quite some time. What would I ever do without you two?

Thank you Freiya for sharing. I am one who just recently excepted that Ive neglected my shamanic path for a very long time, but at the same time realized that now I am ready to travel that path at 40yrs of age and that all that came before was just preparation. Now I can comprehend on much deeper level and I spent much time connecting the dots of my past. So again thank you Freyia for showing us what you do.

In university I was a music major in percussion, playing drums etc every day for five years. Now I’m noticing that had an impact I didn’t realize. About 10 years I haven’t played any music only listen. Now it’s time to reconnect with that feeling again. Freyia, you are so inspiring to me which is why I support you and tell others about you. How you approach life is so magical 🖤

Very true. Every breath I take has meaning. From my prayer to the morning Sun, blessing the Earth Zemyna for my food, Jurate/Water Goddess while I'm taking my shower, going outside to fill the bird feeders & put last nights cat food for the ravens, (Gaw & his mate), etc. Living a Magickal life is a normal way of life. Being one with Nature is normal. We are all on this Earth & are a part of it. This is why I'm doing my part to be a protector by being vegan for 37 years & an animal advocate. Living my life with the smallest carbon footprint.

Morning Chuck, coming....we are starting back with ADONW in September with a quite educational episode indeed. But as I said many time I feel in the simplicity of our life up here are actually the biggest educational lessons to be found as we do not experience any separation in between our life and craft, this is why the channel is called Freyia Norling and not something else more specific as it's meant to encompass all aspects of life on Norwegian grounds. All I can show you it's how my life is aligned with my craft in everything I do, there will always be people be more interested in an aspect rather than another but the channel gets born not to become like a manual to use but to fully help people who are not here to witness life in the high North of Norway, a life as close as possible to how our ancestors lived it. Lots of love to you Chuck, hope this message finds you well 🦌🖤 Ps. Practical example just cause I love to be clear... Let's hypothesize you don't like seeing me tendering reindeer or putting up a house in the tundra of Saltfjellet....it's fine and acceptable, but I cannot not show that first of all cause it's my life pure and raw...and because in the tendering of the 🦌 there is the honouring and worshipping of one of my main gods, the Gabba, and in the building and renovating of a house in the tundra there is me worshipping my ancestors who have a rich history in that area. See life and craft are one. I hope you understand now what I mean.

I completely agree with you about the differences between traditional shamanism and it's modern reflection I think too many pagans generically call themselves a shaman from my understanding the shaman was the person responsible for the spiritual well-being of his village or community not everyone in the old way was a shaman which is why I enjoy listening do the information that you present and I thank you for sharing your knowledge and gifts

Freyia, your views and interpretation of shamanism is nothing short of beatiful. I've only just begun my path, but coming from a more agnostic, scientifically analytical back ground. I appreciate more than you can know, your openess to your beliefs, your connections of what some may see as pure mysticism to very real aspects of healing that have been studied in the modern age, but where known by those long before us. The agnostic side of myself holds the paacal's wager opinion and I believe that regardless of an eternal truth, if the "wager" we go with benefits both ourselves and our community, then it is truth in it's own right. Similar to the idea that something becomes sacred because someone has deemed it so.

Freyia and Daniel, Very beautifully designed and created video with immense detail to examples of how you connect and how 1 way they could connect. Your body knows how to connect, you just need to listen within you, and for everyone it can be different. don't focus or forcefully try, but just let your mind go . If your mind body and soul are ready to connect you will .. I love you Freyia and Daniel

If you're referring to bonsai when talking about imagination, the tradition of miniature trees is based on penjing, which is an interesting animist concept around a landscape's energy being condensed into smaller replicas. I met a young tattoo artist who had his family tree inked on his chest, they'd been tending it for generations. It was 400 years old, and he was very proud of it. I suppose my comment's intent is to represent that the practice of cultivating miniature trees has its own sacred context and traditions. That miniature trees are not limited to recent materialistic fashion, and that not all cultivated trees in miniature are necessarily abused and disrespected. The traditional dimension adds interest to the metaphor of imagination, too. "Which bonsai would your imagination be? The spiritually concentrated, unique, rugged specimen from a far off mountain top; a family heirloom consistently and lovingly tended to; or a roughly pruned bush from the corner store?"
