I can't watch this video past the 18 minute mark, because it frames men right from the start as the perpetrators , rather than acknowledging a complex problem that involves both sexes. How can we have confidence in such a biased outlook? Immediately, I question the qualifications of the participants and the people making this video when I see this kind of blame theory. I am a man who was emotionally abused by a mother who seemingly had no moral compass. The abuse started around the age of 3, and it was almost daily until I was tossed out of the family home with the clothes on my back at 18 years of age. But it did not stop there, she continued with the emotional torment until I discontinued our relationship in my mid 30s. Given this experience, I could easily recognize other abusive mothers, and I have witnessed countless situations of mothers abusing their children over the years. Each incident has a profound affect on me, and I have come to realize just how wide spread this problem really is. Yet, people who have studied sociology and psychology like those interviewed here, are always quick to point the finger at men. It is an absolute disgrace. No one in their right mind condones the mistreatment of any human being, but to put the blame on men is very short sighted and irresponsible. It's time you educate yourselves. Many indigenous groups are way ahead of you on this subject, choosing to look at the problem of family violence as a shared problem when it comes to the sexes. SHAME on you.
