And social services are overwhelmingly underfunded, resulting in low salaries, resulting in less people in social work... In AB You can make more as a brain dead construction laborer than an addiction's worker with a 2 year degree. That coupled with having a system that can't catch up to many current national crises, why would anyone pursue social work? It's a huge merry go round. Yet, we're still being taxed up the ass during very costly times. So where is that money going...? This is just my pov...
