it's tim o'connor. the MC for sick ass contests like tampa pro. the dude goes nuts and says whatever he wants. you SHOULD know his name, by the way. legendary skateboarder. they put him on this because he's a well known MC, but how can you expect him to be comfortable in a contest where he has to pick his words because there's only so much he's allowed to say?

Because he's not used to this at all. And it was live to, so he didn't want to say something he shouldn't or sound too dumb. He's used to the BATB atmosphere, which is a lot more better, and where these guys feel a lot more comfortable. Also, you think he didn't know how to reply? The commentators didn't even know how to commentate. That was way more cringe worthy than Shane O'neill's replies.

I hate it when people talk as I'm doing a trick, it can be very distracting. Imagine a golfer trying to get that perfect hit in. Full concentration is needed... same with skating.

this is wrong people, they made skateboarding from - freedom to skate into - do whatever you can to get to the top , this is just too much. skaters all of you cannot be pro's and it should be something - done after work, sure its nice to watch pro's,but just look @ Rodney Mullen skateboarding videos - they show his hard work,but he says,that it's enjoyable, for them it's too much pressure.They turned freedom into "you must do this and that" .
