Safety play is just as much part of the game and shows as much ingenuity and skill as pocketing. More so in many cases. So, yeah, the game started at 2 minutes in. Not 14.

Pool is a great game for amateurs. But even the top pros make far less than the lowest paid pros in golf, football, baseball, tennis. Why they devote their lives to pool when most will wind up broke and with no other skills at 50 is beyond me.
