It's how Drifting became mainstream in Japan, Tsuchiya was in a grip race & was drifting along with 1 or two others, but drifiting had been around a while before that, on the mountain roads in Japan. Togue is where it all started :D

If Gis was to have stayed around he would have been the Ayrton Senna of V8 Supercars and I firmly believe that. You can see it visibly in race footage, he just gets that much closer to the walls then everyone else, he has that little bit more balls that it takes. Shane is retiring at the end of the 2012 v8 supercar season. He's only 23 yr's old . I don't think we really seen the best of him. He had alot more racing years ahead of him.

he did that on racing slick tyres... id imagine its harder than on street tyres which are usually used for drifting?

@bootfloor It will certainly be a very interesting car though! I doubt they will can the RWD model, I imagine their performance FPV cars will still be RWD jsut the daily driven cars will be AWD/FWD, the AWD turbo ones will be very interesting.
