@@Swagger_Racing Epic! But in all seriousness, they should tighten up the rules for the track limits. So many examples of overtakes attempts that turn into nothing because the car on the outside can just keep driving wider and wider. It just means there's never really a point where a car can overtake and 'control' track position as the car that's getting overtaken never has to yield to stay inside any limits.

ofcourse there is. nascar is more relaxed with the rules than Indycar though... side by side racing is better than one after the other dont you agree? especially in spec series cars. Watching the start onboard. its so much beter than f1 where there is a field spread after just 1 lap.

You can see he was going through the field like a hot curry until he lost that first gear. He’s had so many car issues this year. It would be nice if they could give them a decent car so he can show his true talents. Hopefully NASCAR won’t penalise him ridiculously next time either.

@@KenOath1234 I’m not sure of the exact timestamp, but I think it’s pretty early in the video. You can hear him try to grab the gear a couple times and yes, it’s just crunching and banging and it won’t select the gear. It’s amazing he managed to pass anybody after that.

Absolutely. As an American fan of supercars, I'm all for the man. Kevin Harvick was my guy, but this year I need somebody to root for, and Van Gisbergen was my favorite in supercars. Seems natural to me. Now I want Ricciardo in a supercar 😅

He's way ahead of most of the field in respect of being smoother through fast corners, setting up early trail-braking (as evidenced by those trailing bunching up, then getting left in the dark upon exit): Also that corner prior to the main straight, the understeer of others is very noticeable, most of it generated by not using cad balance to reduce it

Pretty much to help define the edges of the track for the drivers much like they have on highways to know when youre going off the road. That and at some tracks they also serve as a border between the grass and the track surface so cars arent kicking up dirt everywhere in the corner. Though here in nascar they dont really care much about staying between the lines as you can see

Not bad, averaging 75-85 seconds of track limits penalties per lap. That being 5 seconds per infraction after the initial 2 infractions on lap 1. 😆

This track makes bad driving look good when you can run off track so far and hold it flat and not lose a place . But thats how it is . I can watch this but I find the oval stuff so boring ,it's like night and day. Good on ya Shano.

I know it sounds crazy, but someone had mentioned that they think there might be a bit of a thing going where they are trying to hold him back a bit because some people felt embarrassed when he won at Chicago. Obviously that sounds like a mad conspiracy theory, but ever since he won in Chicago, he’s been given a car that’s had some kind of mechanical problem. At the Indy road course, he had throttle issues where the throttle was sticking and he couldn’t use it properly, because it was going from 0 to 50 and tearing up the tyres so he had to be super careful and couldn’t drive off the corners. This year in the Xifinity series, he’s had engine failures and all sorts of mechanical gremlins holding him back. Dale Junior spoke about it on his podcast the other day. It could just be a coincidence, but he seems to be having a lot of bad luck mechanically, and even decision wise from NASCAR at the moment. That penalty he got on the last lap on the weekend was a joke.

@@mintoxace5571Shane Lost Spots On Pit Road All Day At Chicago And Daniel Suarez Ran In To The Back Of Him Almost Got Him In The Fence And Bent The Towlink,He Had To Pass Austin Cindric Twice Because After He'd Passed Him The 22 & 54 Were Side By Side And He Didn't Wanna Risk Making Contact So He Got Back In Line Till Things Calmed Down A Little,And At Indy The Throttle Was The Least Of His Issues Slow Stops Cost Him Again,He Had Gotten Up To 5th Before Pitting For This Last Time Before Losing Spots Again And Finishing 10th, And At Cota The First Gear Killed Him Because He Was Just About To Crack The Top 10 Before It let Go,That Was After Coming From Outside the Top 20 After the speeding penalty,A Top 10 would've been a good day considering aj was in 6th,so please bad luck is part of racing stop spreading rumours

Did you not watch the racing from the weekend at the F1? The 4 Supercars Races were Awesome some of the most aggressive and close racing it was top quality. I think Nascar lets to much go like being able to push the car in front off for the win in the last corner

Just as I said, anything these days, and has done now for many years! relative to Australian Supercars is rubbish! You need to better educate yourself relative to the Australian v8 racing past, to better understand, why a now a very large percentage of aussies no longer could be bothered watching the shit! including myself!

The 4 Races were Soooo good many Battles all through the field. Its better racing Because you cannot Ram the leader off track for the win. You Actually have to have skills to be able to setup a pass on the lead car for a win
