Shane Williams little but mighty. Loved that being smaller than most it gave him agility and speed to nip through where others stood no chance. Loved watching him play.

Only in Wales, full stadium and ZERO noise to listen to him ! RESPECT to this legend and giant of rugby ! New Zealand versus Wales during the world cup in Australia stays, in my eyes, one of the best match ever played at a world cup.

you were a great arsenal to the game of rugby, was always a key player to watch out for. He played his heart out every time I watched him play against the All Blacks. All respect to Welsh rugby and the fans. Respect From New Zealand

as a proud welsh man i must say by far the best northern hemisphere player in a generation and welsh rugby is missing this legend thank you shane for showing that welsh rugby/ northern hemisphere rugby can match the southern teams

There are only 3 standout Southern Hemisphere teams. Australia, South Africa, and the All Blacks. All the Pacific Island teams like Fiji and Tonga couldn't hold a candle to any of the Six Nations teams. No disrespect intended, the only reason they're not up to the same standard is they're only small island nations so they don't have a huge population to choose from. They do have a lot of heart though and they'd still knock anyone of us normal people into next week...

Real respect for this man, shows what sport is all about. Shouldn't be about money or being flash, his loyalties lie with Wales and with the game of Rugby and you have to love that. Just wish the England football team had even a fraction of the charisma Shane Williams has.

Shows you the invaluable wealth of a small nation there, small communities, the family, strong traditions, and a people that feels solidarity and feel together, all the weight of everything he is, crashing down on him on this final national duty day. In other larger European countries, people don't know who they are anymore and with the current times I can't imagine some present players feeling this much pride and emotion.

A humble courageous and a great man! He might be small but he's got a heart as big as that stadium! Beautiful beautiful way to end a LEGENDARY career! Im american and i love welsh rugby! My dad's side has welsh blood and this man never quit and gave it 110% every time! What a player! Watching him during the anthem.....brought a tear and lump to my throat! Shane, thank you sir!

Elliot Steinwedell Welsh hearts and rugby go hand in hand mate it's in our blood this game you should visit Wales one day on match day (preferably against England our centuries old enemy) because the atmosphere around Wales that day is absolutely electric it's an immense feeling you would love the buzz

I love how he flipped when he did the try it was so cool. He's the shortest person (I'm only 5ft have been since i was 10 and am now 17. Don't think I'll grow any more) on the Welsh ruby team and won the game for them and it was his last game to.

We didnt win unfortunatly, this was the 3rd place play offs. The real achievement i found for that WC was that we lost to France by 1 point fielding 14 men (captain being sent off within first 10 mins) for the match. All blacks beat france by 1 point with 15 men on field for the game.

the 2011 World Cup haunts me to this day. Probably our best chance ever at actually winning the world cup. Played the best rugby in the whole competition and got conned out of the final!

For a sport usually dominated by enormous men with shoulders bigger than their heads, this man is proof that stature doesn't matter, he only weighed 80kg and was shorter than most players, yet he delivered time and time again and developed a legendary and respected reputation. A true legend of rugby
