16:58 The director in the commentary said that Benedict Wong didn't tell the actors or crew that he was going to push aside their chairs after stepping through the portal, so their reaction is genuine. The only hint that the director (Destin Daniel Cretton) got was that during rehearsal Wong carefully studied the set, picking up the chairs, adjusting the table etc, but didn't let on what he was planning, which is hilarious.

I literally wept with laughter in the theater when Morris showed up. From Shang-Chi and Katy freaking out to Trevor happily proclaiming "You're real, Morris! I thought I was hallucinating you!" it was absolutely amazing.

Katy and Shang-Chi are my new favorite chaotic duo! I really hope Marvel doesn't make them a couple, they are perfect as just friends

Awkwafina really brings a lot of the humor to this film. That humor chemistry between her and Simu really kept me keep watching.

One thing I like about this movie is that they were able to create a presentation of "Chi" without doing the "fake air moving with colors". In martial art / wuxia novels, when "Chi" was unleashed on the opponent, it was just air currents moving really violently - like air cannons. But you can't really see air. You can see its effects - how air swayed the trees, swept up the leaves, rippled a wave on water. So, Marvel present "Chi" with a visualization of "moving leaves". It was not the leaves that moved, it was the Chi that swept them up. It is done this way so that you can visualize where the Chi went. So, there you go. Talo's martial arts isn't just "leaf magic". It's a presentation of a prevalent concept that exists in martial art / wuxia novels.

Also, I'm really glad that they didn't make their relationship into a romantic one immediately, 'cause that would feel rushed, but instead Marvel gave us the refreshing friendship we all need at this time. It really is the details in the script that makes me love it so much. The magical monster(Morris) from 山海經, Ta Lo's implying to 桃花源(Utopia in Chinese culture), you could really tell how much effort they put into the script. Especially the Chinese dialogues, for the very first time the audience in the theatre can laugh at a joke together that is in our native tongue, in a FREAKING MCU MOVIE. It was simply marvelous.
