Nothing wrong with being smart - but don't be an arrogant know-it-all. Nothing wrong with being good looking or taking care of yourself - but don't be vain and obsessive. Nothing wrong with having nice things - but don't be materialistic. Above all, none of those things matter if you don't respect a woman. THAT impresses her, because it's easy to do but so rare to find a guy who does it.

Those of you that are confused on what she is talking about. She is basically saying she is not desperate and materialistic things don't impress her. That she would rather be lonely than be with someone who won't... be honest and loyal no matter what they got. Heck read her bio story, even when Lang cheated she was done. Shania may be a strong woman out there now but she had a rough Childhood that mad her a good person. Her parents died in a car crash when she was to young for it and she got the adult role for her siblings.
@Abbenxena5 жыл бұрын
she was 22 when her parents died, and she only got custody on her 2 half brothers who were 13 and 14 at the time, her 2 younger sister were already adults. don't try to make it seem like she was some teenager who had to drop out of high school and get a job to take care of little kids. she was an adult and the siblings she took care of were almost adults when their parents died, so that had nothing to do with her childhood. also her ex husband's last name is Lange, not Lang. I don't know where you got your "facts" but I do know it wasn't a credible source.
@Shermos5 жыл бұрын
Dude... 22 is still pretty young to have to cope with losing your parents and take on the responsibility of looking out for her siblings. Get some empathy.
@Abbenxena5 жыл бұрын
I was just saying that it had nothing to do with her childhood, because she was an adult, Pirate Apostle said that her parents' death and having to take care of her siblings was a rough childhood, but she wasn't a child anymore

@RubberyCat6 жыл бұрын
I agree too, but i have seen the video with this version, just not on youtube. Also, Shania has 3 versions of "I'm gonna get you good" on her VEVO channel, two with the main video, and one of those are a bit more country than the other ... why couldn't she have this version of this song there as well?

A lot of people missed the point of this song. What she's saying is okay you're cute, or smart or have a car, ect. .. What she is looking for is...... How you treat the lady! Ding! Ding !Ding! I don't understand how it went over so many heads! You can have all those things, ( believe me they help! ) but as she says if they don't make her feel special, loved, and important, well .... as she says that won't keep me warm in the middle of the night. oh and fellas, we have cars, brains, looks, money ect, too, do you get it now?!p0 probably}
@lividrodian7876 жыл бұрын
Or just treating people in general...
@nanalove38196 жыл бұрын
yes, that's incredible how people don't get it... She says it in the song : you can try to impress someone with your social status, but it doesn't work if their is no chemistry, or if you don't show some interest. Why is it so difficult to understand?
