My wife and I first met when we 16 years of age and spent the next 36 years together...The first 10 or 15 years a lot of people expected us to "crash and burn" because we met at such a young age, but we proved everybody wrong and always had a blast together and this song became our little theme song later on in life. Unfortunately, my wife passed away in 2013 at the age of 52 from cancer. But every time I hear this song it makes me smile because it brings back the memories of all the good times I shared with my beautiful best friend.

I was from the sticks, divorced, 28, and in the military. She was divorced, 29, with two kids, living in a townhouse area in the inner city that had "social problems" in every building. We were from, and lived in, different worlds. That was 1992 and everyone in the development took bets on how long we'd last. 31 years so far. Just got back from a day with our grown kids and their kids celebrating her 60th birthday. Through the years I've told her my goal is to grow old with her. Looks like we made it, and, she's still the one.

I am happy that you made it. My Wife and I met in Oct. 1992 and were married July 3rd 1993. All that time not one major fight. We were blessed and happy until Dec. 2011, when we found out she had cancer. She fought one hell of a fight every time it came back. I retired early to be her caretaker. She went through chemo, having her spleen taken out, through being in septic shock, and finally the lymphoma came back, and she got infections through her PICC line. She had yeast, bacterial, and fungal infections. She was in the hospital ICU for 18 days, and my bride went to her heaven, 19 days short of her 70th birthday. I wrote all that to say this. Please, live for today. You always think you have more time, but it could be tomorrow that the Reaper will be at your door. Do the things you dream of. Go to places you have always wanted to see. Do not put it off. Treasure every moment you have together. Love each other. Thanks for reading.

We were 20 and 21 when we got married. Everyone said we were too young and should finish college first. Even my wife’s priest told us that unless we had to get married, come back after we finished school. Fortunately, we got our way. This past spring we celebrated 45 years of marriage. This song has become our theme song. A beautiful song sung by a remarkable singer. Thank you Shania.

My wife and I played this album incessantly when it came out. Now after 25 years of marriage we still feel this way. We've gone through the death of our daughter, breast cancer and all of life's tribulations and still looking forward to as many more years as we can get. This is our song too. This song is dedicated to my mum and dad. My mum died from C19 in April. My mum met dad when she was 14 and he 18. She was only 75 when she died. They had been together through times good and not so good for 61 years. I love and admire them both and I know they will be together again one day.💖

For the world to know, our military friends told my girlfriend that our relationship would not work because of nationality (Hispanic to white), religion (Catholic to Missionary Baptist), to home state (California to Missouri), They said, "I bet they'll never make it". But if they can see us now then we would tell them "but just look at us holding on. We're still together, still going strong." It will be 36 years (and still going strong) in 2023.

Good for you getting it right when one of you was a Hard Head Missouri Mule...(I was born in Saint Louis, by the way)....my heart is REALLY French Canadian, emphasis on the "French" and did I mention the French part? We had this song in our vow renewal of 40 years. He passed away 5 months later. This means a lot to me...we got married at 16 and everyone said it would not last. Well it lasted until death....Love you Ron and miss you so much...take care of our Baby girl...till we meet again...

I dedicate this song to my parents. They got married in 1994 and they’re still together until now. They’ve been through a lot but they still stayed strong no matter what. Married for 26 years with 3 children including me. I hope one day I find someone that I can spend the rest of my life with. I also hope that they’re still together till they get old. They’re now in their 50’s and 60’s. I love you so much mom and dad!
