Turnaround stocks remain one of India's best investing strategies to create massive wealth in the stock markets and in this video, we'll learn about this multibagger strategy in 5 simple steps. The 5 steps include:
1. A screening process where we look at stock price falls, compare profits, do a credit rating analysis and examine valuation gaps
2. The financial analysis of turnaround companies comes next with focus on debt levels, cash position, asset retrenchment and reduction in fixed costs
3. The management's interest needs to be examined with clues available in the form of having prior experience in turnarounds, executive compensation package and insider buying of shares in the company
4. Leveraging technical analysis, and chart patterns like double bottoms, reverse head and shoulders, and breakouts, an investor can identify turning points and potential opportunities for investment

Wow!!! so much to digest from this video. Easily it can be made a 2 - 3 months short term course :). However on the first step Shortlisting process, I actually tried similar idea of finding stock prices which are less than 52 week high (Query: Down from 52w high > 25) and applied this additional criteria to the Coffee can screening query which you taught in that video. But sadly I could not continue my research further on those results. At least I can say I am benefitting and thinking the right way (may be 1% or less, which I feel is good).

Amazing content as usual. I bought Jain irrigation DVR shares much before they went into debt trouble. Somehow all along I had a feeling that it will turnaround and since they have distinct competitive advantage in what they do, I didn't sell. Now thinking to add more. What I love and really appreciate about your content is to use of screeners to show how theory is implemented in practice.

Thanks for sharing your experience. The screener is a great start to the investing process but I've always felt comfortable doing the tough work of reading annual reports, earnings call transcripts etc. - that's where the real information is

While we can definately screen possible turnarounds from the screener as you showed. Is there a way to screen/look for companies who have a new change in management? Because we can't run a query for that, so maybe you can help in figuring that out 😅? Even Google alerts would be difficult in such a case i.e. spotting companies with recent change / new management.

I couldn't find a query on a screener on change in management. Personally, I prefer to keep track of a few companies and add them to a watchlist. Changes like new CEO or CFO are informed to the exchange and thus gets reflected in corporate announcements

Screener for this can be as follows: monthly resistance being crossed up after 3-6 months . So Pivots traditional day chart can be used for this . CMP > R1 , last month price < last month R1 throws up candidates which can be filtered using fundamental criteria. One simple filter I use is dividend paying stocks

We use Adobe Premier Pro. Honestly, the software has very little to do with editing. In my case, I make a 100-120 slide PPT for every video with exact instructions on what I need for every line. This is time-consuming for me but it ensures that what is in my head is translated into the final video. I don't recommend this approach as it saps away time that can be used for research and finding an acceptable alternate solution is desirable

Sir one question from side. When sales growth of one company is at average of 30% for past 3 years amd price of stock is grown by 10% should I worth buying?. If the same stock grown by 100% should I worth buying?. What could be the proportion between sales growth and share price?

I'm sorry, I haven't come across any study that finds a correlation between just sales growth and share price. Generally there are many more variables involved like profits, debt, growth prospects etc. For all I know, this company you are referring to might be a cyclical one and just because say, the metal prices have gone up .. it's sales might be higher. Similarly, the company might have acquired another company to show higher sales but might now be having a mountain of debt. It's never a good idea to correlate with a single variable without understanding the underlying action behind it

May I request you to read the latest earnings call transcript for a better poke at where the company is at and what are they planning. I thought the latest one (www.bseindia.com/xml-data/corpfiling/AttachHis/eb38a0ce-13c8-4986-b4c0-6ea3b6639c77.pdf) had a very strange start to it with Mr. Khetrapal speaking for 20 minutes continously before taking questions.

How do we not know zomato is structhringitself palatable to funding when venture capital fell by 60% and now only profitable companies are getting funds. Hence isn't zomato and Uber suddenly posting profits?

Now that Zomato is a publicly listed companies, infusion of funds etc. are all available in the public domain and investors can make their own assessment. You can check a lot of what's happening with Zomato via their annual report, news articles and reporting to the exchange.

You're right -- I have tried to build my own brand of topics, presentation & engagement which may work with some and maynot with others. (since we are investors, difference of opinion should come naturally to us as a buyer and seller of securities is nothing but two people having a difference in views) Dr. Das is not wrong with his suggestions. As a practice, I listen to what others have said, verify the information, then apply my own preferences & then act. Now with re: thumbnails, I have the privilege of additional datapoints incl. Mr. Das's view, your view, hundreds of others who have previously comments .. and most importantly the data (click through rates). I'll certainly take everything into account before acting. Thanks again! Yes, the next video is up on Thursday (my videographer Kartar has an errand on Monday so I'll be recording on Tuesday)

Finally my conviction on Suzlon paying up. After averaging I found myself in bad position holding 1 lakh shares at 8. I kind off prepared myself to tak all losses instead of selling at below 5 price. its already 3 bagger for me. But never ever average a stock in downturn. Lesson learned.

Sir, please rethink about your thumbnail strategy. Your content quality is amazing but people don't discover your videos easily because of your wrong thumbnail strategy. Let me explain. When we scroll through the videos we click on those videos which gets our quick attention. We get to know the content only after we click and watch it. For your videos that "quick attention" catch should be your own picture on left or right side of the thumbnail. Not some cartoon character of yours. Those looks creative but not good for attention catch. One can't even recognise that it's you and we unknowingly overlook your videos while scrolling through the KZfaq home page. The whole point of making a good thumbnail is to catch viewers attention. Hope I explained what I am trying to convey. Look at videos channels like- SOIC, The Print, Akshat Srivastava, Rachna Ranade. Not talking about their content at all, but that thumbnail strategy works 10× better than your videos. Have a good day 😊

I have fair idea what works on social media in terms of grabbing viewers attention. For your videos having your normal picture on the right side of the thumbnail will work much better.
