I feel like the boxers would never agree to that. Shit maybe body knees instead? I feel like adding even just that little thing would give the mma guys a little more of an "even playing field" (hilarious that they keep trying to push the narrative that that is what this is, because its definitely not lol it's just boxing with long clinches allowed)

@@KnownProphet both you and the original poster guy are exactly right, this “levels the games” by about 1%, it is purely longer clinches,…what if in a clinch they throw a wizzer or arm drag? Lol, and not being allowed anywhere near the ground (which us MMA fans Kno is basically at least 70% at the top level, it’s gonna go to the ground, or a huge threat of it alters the attackers and defenders game), it hasn’t evened it…and they keep using the shit of “us boxers can’t go to MMA because the money”…believe me, you get Josh or Fury or Canelo to do actual MMA against a champ, they’ll get paid, and the we can see

As a MMA fan, I would say boxer will win that fight most of the time. Cause even if they say this is leveling up the both sport, no it's not. This is 95% of boxing. They should allow elbows, knees and standup submission to make it fair.
@javierhermosilla2517
@javierhermosilla2517 2 жыл бұрын
@@ragingwarrior8098 that would be unfair for boxers my man, elbows might be okay but knees is too much, I agree boxers got the advantage but we saw mediocre mma fighters vs mediocre boxers today and it was competitive so maybe elite boxers vs elite mma fighters would also be competitive
@ragingwarrior8098
@ragingwarrior8098 2 жыл бұрын
@@javierhermosilla2517 Yeah, you are right, but under this ruleset, 95% of the fighting is the full skillset of boxers and that's what they do their whole life. So elite boxers would absolutely destroy MMA elites most of the time. Cause boxers are specialized to worry only about ahands and to throw hands. On the otherhand MMA guys are specialized on overall fighting. Knees, elbows, low, kicks, submissions etc. So as a MMA fan, I don't wanna see MMa elites getting smoked by elite boxers for no reason playing their own game. So if Triad combat wants to make it actually boxing vs MMA fair and equal, they should make it 50-50 imo. Otherwise, this is more of boxing than a mixed, don't you think so?

@@javierhermosilla2517 no it wouldn't be competitive. Boxing on a super elite level will probably be decided by decision. This is designed for punishment and wrestling. If it was truly just hands Boxing would destroy these guys.

I've expected another circus bullshit with washed out fighters. I was surprised. Good organised, good fights and the concept is something to build on. Just one point of critique: Frank Mir hadn't been looking healthy for years now.
