Isn't it, mate?!?! For a split second, I always initially think that something has gone awry w/ either my headphones or my laptop...but then a 100% shitty & familiar ad comes on to inform me otherwise...what KZfaq neglects to realise is the fact both myself & all of my friends that use YT 100% REFUSE to buy ANY product that advertises on here & thus ruins our listening experiences...& hopefully we're not the metaphorical 'lone rangers' amongst musical KZfaqrs in this respect...?! Yes in deed Shannon with let the music play done well with this song the very first time I heard it was at my now gone local gay club miss Helen's shamrock in Bluefield wv ok but I lived in Athens wv at the time and the college of students the school loved playing it at the the dance party too you have no idea how long I have searched for this video ok.

Dj'd huge club in early 90s. This song would always fill the floor. ...extended version was great for my pee break too. Short version - might get caught in "dead air"...aka, silence. Lotta boos when that happens.

The best version out there. It keeps all the elements that made the song great in the first place and only adds a few new elements. Most of the others are ruined by overly pretentious DJ's who think they have talent.

@Roger B No, actually Madonna was 25 years old, the same age as Shannon was when this danceapalooza of a song was released in 1983 and that was the debut year for Madonna Louise Ciccone, aka Madonna, who already had hits with "Holiday" and "Lucky Star". So, it was simultaneous with the Madonna debut. Both Shannon and Madonna are still active in the music industry...40 years later and some.

The singer, Shannon, was in her 20s and is currently in her 60s. This might be the longest re-mix of "Let The Music Play". The music did indeed play, play, and play. Yes, and it plays again with a special limited edition 40th anniversary vinyl release of the original "Let The Music Play" album, every album autographed by Shannon herself, who is on a tour to promote it and has continued to tour all along to "Let The Music Play".
