She is the most decorated USA men or women's gymnast at the Olympics with 7 total Olympic medals, Aly Raisman was second behind her, if Simone Biles wins five more gold medals she will break Shannon's record with a total of 10 medals.

LOL Shannon did not deserve gold in the AA. I had her 4th behind Bogi, Milo, and Gutsu. Both her beam and floor were overscored since she wasn't deducted for mistakes she made that day.

@@grantdesjardins764 She has the highest score and the number one qualifier for the 1992 Olympic All-Around final, which is now the new life which means that prelims scores do not carried over the final and it was before the 1992 Olympics, if that happened she would have won the all-around gold at the 1992 Olympic. The All-Around Champion did not qualify, and the Unified Team coaches put her in to substitute another injured gymnast, and the truth is that the actual gymnast who originally qualified was not injured, the coach chose to take her out and replace her which was very controversial, the team coaches felt that she has a great chance to win the all-around gold in 1992, that was still debatable that many thought that Shannon deserves the gold, which I still remember for almost 29 years.

She has won many world titles including multiple all around titles. Are you kidding? She hasn't lost a major competition in years.

Simone Biles has only started competitive gymnastics since 2013. 4 years and she's already the world's 5th most deocrated gymnast. Khorkina took 10 years to reach the 2nd most decorated. (Larisa Latynina is actually first). I'm guessing by the time Simone has been doing gymnastics for ten years, she'll be the greatest of all time by far. But right now, the greatest modern gymnast of all time is still Khorkina.

As great as Simone is the sport as a whole, competition wise, is so watered down right now that all medals since 2006 should have asterisk's next to them for the lack of competition. Any of the top 12 could have won the AA gold medal in 92 and 96. Now you're lucky if you have a competition with 2 people with a chance of gold.

barath4545 lol she’s coming back to Tokyo with more difficulty than she had in 2016 and could probably make it to 2024 if she wanted to (although she’s said 2020 will be her last). She hasn’t lost a meet in over 5 years now. She’s not going anywhere.

@@annapavfan4680 I love Dawes but she definitely had form issues, and it is one of the things that held her back, along with her nerves and inconsistency under pressure. Notice how on her back handsprings on beam for instance her legs come apart, which isn't true of Mo Huilan, Miller, Khorkina, Podkopayeva, some others of that era.

It's a handspring front in a tucked position . It's much easier than a Prodounova which is a handspring double front.
