Oklahoma State announced that an internal review of head coach Mike Gundy quote "uncovered no signs or indication of racism." The review came after star running back Chuba Hubbard threatened to boycott the team once Gundy was seen wearing a shirt featuring the logo of far-right network, One America News. I am what you would call a "leftist" and "anti-Trump", but if an NFL Player wears a shirt SUPPORTING CASTRO, nothing happens and neither of them criticized him, but if Mike Gundy wore a shirt SUPPORTING AN AMERICAN NEWS NETWORK (which is yes right-wing, and does tend to get "muddy" regarding facts, but so does CNN, MSNBC, and FOX). It's not about a shirt alone. Don't take it out of context. It's about an ongoing pattern players have noticed over decades as well as taking into account what you represent. Many people dont have the luxury of being no names, so if you're the head coach of a major football team you need to realize every move you make is a representation of that university and it's money maker.

Jump forward to 2024 and Gundy is coming off a Big 12 COTY and 2-1 against OU in the final 3 Bedlam games and has been to 2/3 last Big 12 Championship games. This whole argument about a shirt was simply because my coach is openly conservative in one of the most conservative states in the country.

If you find nothing inappropriate how can you reduce a person's salary and reduce the contract by a year. Personally I think there was enough evidence to remove him, but if you choose not to remove him how can reduce his salary if no wrongdoing was determined

So what we have learned is he wore an inappropriate shirt, OSU supposedly has no integrity and 31 years ago he made a racial slur that all you have to do is watch Tik Tok videos right now and you will hear it in about every 4th song and a pay cut and reprimand wasn’t enough. Idk I get that for some folks that just not enough.

Skip. Mike Gundy wasn't bothering anyone and on a fishing trip on his own time. If he likes a news station you don't like you have no right to call him a racist, just because you disagree with the stations message. If you have a CNN shirt on, some people may think it's far left, and think you may be racist yourself? Would I think that about you if you did, no. It's your right to choose what stations you watch and no one else's. Would you defend yourself if they did? I'd hope so. Gundy had to give in to save his job. He has a family and a life life like everyone else. Not that you seemed to care about. All these things you're saying are just your opinions. Bubba tried to wreck this man's career and life. Gundy shouldn't have been punished. The University should have told Hubbard he's free to go to another University if he so chooses, because that would be his right, as well. Someone else would surely have accepted the scholarship he was so gracious extended by the University.

At what point do we stop calling freedom of speech racist and start judging individuals on there actions. Each of us should look back over our own lives and honestly judge our selves, have you ever done or said anything that could be offensive to someone else. Quit trying to stir the poop and find a way to fix the problem. Start teaching law, ethics, and morals in school and maybe we as Americans can become better people.
