K-pop has a lot of emotive singers in my opinion but they technical vocalists like Sohyang that showcase the complexity of singing honestly. I think proper technique and being emotive are both equally important for great vocalists.

Also he has a lot of talented singers, 15&, Jun.K, Yenny, Bernard Park, Day6, JoKwon, etc. People need to stop comparing singers to other singers. People have different styles of singing, and just because you're not powerful like Ailee, doesn't mean you can't sing. Funny thing is, people weren't saying this kind of stuff until TWICE came out, but the reality is they can actually sing too. JYP is quite biased atm since they focus way too much on KPOP groups, since Shanon William is more like a solo artist and would probably prefer to perform as one than in a group then JYP doesn't really suit her even so they are the best atm at promoting their idols, but they also have dumped a lot of trainees and etc in JYP and has more failure as for solo artists. SM, LOEN-Starship or YG should be the choice for her. But if she is in JYP, she has more opportunity at least to get more exposure or just decide on trying to debut on a girl group since there are a lot of programs for potential gg even if they are all in a different company no matter how big or small they get to audition in the program.
