Don't forget Yuen Siu Tien as Fu Sheng's master, this must of been part of Yuen Woo Ping's inspiration for his original vision for Snake In Eagle's Shadow. It's well known that he wished to loan Fu Sheng but was refused, can't watch those training scenes and not think of Snake In Eagle's Shadow.

Anytime there was a Martial Art movie playing in Seattle, or at a Drive In, I'd be there. I even wore black slacks, made of light material, and Gung Fu shoes that were ultra--light....Taylor made for kicking. Pretty silly, huh?

Movie is similar to all other Shaolin movies (A fighting techinque of secret Mongolian society named - SHAOLIN MONKS). But the movie is a drastic step towards the simple true fighting techniques that other Chinese movie often hide to let people blindly watch these martial art movie. The Chinese say as they call it - KUNG FU, TAICHI, WUSHU - are all wrong. Actually, it is called Gong foo (a typical Tibetan touch but of Mongolian style). "The Han Chinese tried to ban it so many times (by many other dynasties too) but it was only at the time of the Great Grandfather The Temujin Khan, that Shaolin monks came to be respected and revered for their ultimate fighting skills. It reached it's zenith during the time of the Yuan Dynasty of the Great Kublai Khan that the Chinese started to hear about this Mongolian fighting technique called the - SHAOLIN MARTIAL ARTS." I am only telling the truth and the true is that all other martial arts are copies of our MONGOLIAN Fighting technique - Shaolin Gong foo.

Fact:Alexander Fu Sheng was the favourite to play Freddie Wong in Drunken Master instead of Jackie Chan.It’s amazing how careers are changed when one actor doesn’t get the role but another does.It’s like Tom Selleck.He was supposed to play Indiana Jones but was committed to play Magnum PI so Harrison Ford took over.It worked out well for both Jackie and Harrison didn’t it.
