No one knows your relation with Allah swt but when I look at RHS, I can tell that there is khair in him, more than a average human. I hope Allah guides you more towards deen, and you inspire others to hold onto it as well. Maybe join youth club even, a place where youth inspires youth towards Allah. Prayers for maha as well.

I am 66 years old and live in Canada. Have gone through the same as you did. I am not a swimmer and scare of water. Have goosebumps while listening to you guys. We as a couple travels a lot, but we always take care of timings like when its getting dark & keep a watch on our location surroundings specially while visiting international beaches & other spots, never ever take such kind of risks again ! 1- Always watch whether the other tourists are still arounds, 2- Last ferry has not yet left, 3- How much time is left while its getting dark, 4- Don't let urself get isolated at any place which u r visiting for the 1st time, Always stay blessed ameen, prayers for the lovely couple Masha ALLAH ❤

Oh man! My wife and I had a similar experience, did not get off the kayak though. So a little better. But faced a hideous thunderstorm right in the middle of the sea (20 mins kayak distance from the shore). At one point, we almost said this to each other - ‘see you in the next life’. I know it wasn’t funny. But we do laugh it out now like you guys. Stay safe and god bless!
