I've planted Supertunia's forever. Bubblegum is by far the most prolific bloomer. I usually plant my Bubblegum with Jazzberry and together they make a beautfiul arrangement. The new Saffron Finch also blooms constantly. I tried the new Hoopla this year and though it started off a bit slow, after a couple of weeks it just took off. One thing about Supertunia's is that they require quite a bit of water. No, you don't want to drown them and get root rot, but if you let them dry out where the foliage starts curling, sometimes you won't be able to bring them back to life. As strong as they appear to be, they don't like dry soil at all. Just something to be aware of.

That petunia flat is awesome! It not only has legs…it’s got arms. Echo Sharon’s comment about a tour. 🙂👍

Thanks for your video! I have some petunias that are getting a bit leggy but I was feeling a little guilty about trimming them up. Now I am confident to shape them up!

Helpful video, thx. I didn't know that you could root the cuttings. I only grow petunias in planter boxes but by late July/early August they are getting leggy and I prune them. How often do you feed your petunias? I find mine really appreciate some fish emulsion every couple of weeks.

Great info! Do you need a special size drill for the auger? Thank you! 😁

I use a normal drill for my auger. If you get a larger auger you will need a larger drill that will be compatible in both power and connection size.

Hello if I take cutting from my plant how long until I can expect it to give me a full plant? Im trying to stretch my $ as much as I can this season.

It depends on a few factors but generally if the plants are going to survive they should form roots in a just a few days and be able to transplant in a few weeks. Use a root stimulate if you have it and keep the cuttings moist but not overly wet. Hope that helps.

I planted wave petunias in 12 inch pots at my workplace. They’ve been in about six weeks, can you prune in this situation?

I'm trying to plant peunias from seeds. Would love to hear tips on the best way to do this. And if you have a source for buying supertunia seeds, I'd love that. I want the beautiful persimmon color. and

Unfortunately you can’t buy seeds for any of the supertunias. They are all propagated through cuttings. That is how they get them to perform to uniformly. They are all essentially the same plant. But if you grow other petunia varieties that do offer seeds you can grow them like any other seed. Keep them moist but not wet and give them LOTS of bright light. I hope that helps.

Does anybody know how often to use Iron-Tone fertilizer on a Papaya Tree that has yellow leaves? Thanks!
@HorticultureGeek
@HorticultureGeek 2 жыл бұрын
Without knowing your soil it’s hard to say. I would recommend getting a soil test and figuring out how deficient your soil is. As a general rule Papaya needs to be fertilized about once every 2 months and if you are using a fertilizer that is high is phosphorus that will bind Iron up in your soil. So I would recommend making sure your routine fertilizer is low or no phosphorus. I would recommend using the iron tone once every 2 months with your regular fertilizer as long as the plant shows signs of chlorosis. That would be my best guess, Hope it helps.

@@HorticultureGeek If you have a fertilizer that you recommend for Papaya trees, can you let me know please? I currently don’t have one 😬 Thank you for your feedback! I really appreciate it!

I don’t have a specific brand to recommend but I would look for a tropical plant fertilizer. It usually is somewhere around a 14-14-14 ratio but doesn’t have to be exact. Just make sure to water it in throughly after application to make sure you don’t burn sensitive surface roots.

@@HorticultureGeek Thanks, I read about that ratio, I’m just struggling to find a brand that offers that ratio. Have a great day!
