He makes flashy plays and that's about it. His tennis is very one dimensional but he can't even execute that consistently. He is like a flashy sports car running a one cylinder thumper under the hood.

Being a Denis fan this is just hard to watch. He needs a coach that is going to show him how to find his war face. At 52 if I had Shapos skill sets Id be winning tournaments, thats the depth of his buckets. Probabaly ounce for ounce one of the most naturally gifted players on tour. This is just dizzyingly nauseating against Darderi who?? Exactly, no disrespect to Luciano. Denis is a former top 10 player.

After watching him make the same mistakes CONSISTENTLY it just becomes so clear, the guy is not trying to win! How can any of you tell me that he ever looks like he’s actually wants to win? He puts in no effort, maybe once im a blue moon. Awful ambassador to tennis honestly. In absolutely any other profession in the world, this man would not have a job. How is he getting away with it in tennis!?

I get your point; I know for a fact that if he had the right coach/mentality/consistency/whatever we wanna call it, then he would be in a way higher position. He has the skills but, as said, something (or many things) hinders this. But still, your comment was way too exagerated. There have been many worse cases, careers and situations throughout the years (not only in the past 18). And Shapo ain't really giving tennis no bad name mate 😅

Please ban Shapovalov from ATP. You cannot have a man with no integrity representing a gentleman’s sport. Whether or not he is fixing matches (and most of his actions are incredibly suspicious) he is not playing to win. You can justify it by saying high risk.? He is not playing to win!
