Ppl talk about stats like they’re just pointless numbers. But they actually tell how good a player actually is. Checking all of those boxes must be the hardest thing to accomplish in the NBA. That’s the definition of carrying a team and dominating.

What I’m saying. Like how do you win games? Just dribble the ball all game like a 2k playmaker? *Or actually score, rebound, and make plays offensively and defensively?* How do you win scoring titles, assist champ, rebound champ? How do you even win games?

@dreb57762 жыл бұрын
@@rhowj7335 well Statistically speaking, stats that are better than MJ are Cumulative stats which has to do with his longevity if you are looking at per game stats there is no question that MJ have way better per game stats, some stats that are relative to a players position or role on the court also need to take into account, example you would not expect MJ to have higher assist pg over Lebron and you would not expect Lebron the have higher PPG over MJ so In terms of analytics and per game stats No doubt Jordan is above Lebron except for Assist PG, RPG and I think FG%. MJ is above Lebron In PPG, SPG, BPG, FT and he has way fewer turnovers. MJ is the Only player to won Defensive player of the year, all categories of MVP, Steal Champion, Scoring champion and won the Dunk Contest in a single season. do what you want with that.

3 out of 8 sounds bad but to add some perspective, in that 8 year Finals stretch he was on the better team only twice. Dallas in 2011 and San Antonio 2013 and even that’s debatable. The only other time that he was on the better team was in 2020, which is outside that 8 year stretch.

And there are also 3 Finals where his chance of winning was sooo miniscule, 2007, 2016, and 2018, and let's add 2017 right there but I still think they could've atleast push it to 6.

Debate is based on people's opinion, everyone knows LeBron is the GOAT but just cannot admit it, and those people from Jordan era is just fighting for their belief that MJ is the GOAT because of course he is the best player in the best team on their time. Same as LeBron fans, they are saying LeBron is GOAT because they know that he is statistically and for all the things that the man can do inside the court.
@rizingpho3nix2 жыл бұрын
MVP? That's ridiculous because that's dependent on the talent of players you're playing against. These players that Lebron play against a more talented than those that Micheal Jordan have played against and that actually a testament to how much the NBA has progressed and the enormous pool of talent that's in the NBA now. Jordan was the GOAD of his era and now Lebron is the GOAT of his era.

@Dante Witthashii Correct Thanks for making my point I'm glad you agree. When you are comparing players and trying to decide who was better it's extremely difficult. You cannot say player A is better than player B cause his TEAM won more titles. If that were true, guys like Satch Sanders (9) and Sam Jones (8) would be in the GOAT conversation. Stats play an important role is this determination. Besides the film it's all we have to chronicle what the player did. I personally watched Wilt destroy Russell for a decade. It was embarrassing, yet Russell won 11 titles and Chamberlain only won a couple. Is Russell better than Chamberlain? NO, Russell couldn't hold Chamberlain's jock strap.

"Will always choose Jordan over Lebron." Well. That hasnt aged well. Although it was largely done to sell Pippen's book, it does shine a bright light onto the factor of how hard is it to construct a roster around a star player. Quite honestly, the more time that passes, the more credit I give to Jerry Kraus and the less I give to Jordan. Jordan was miserable to work with, ruined as many careers as he elevated, and was an around the clock headache for his GM and his coach. LeBron elevated nearly everyone he played with, was outspoken with team direction, but rarely in a negative way, and has always been a net positive for any organization that wanted to meet him halfway. Jordan was a diva, a talented one, but a limiting one. LeBron has always been a leader with foresight, team chemistry, and success in mind. Jordan was content with getting his own and getting his accolades for nearly a decade until his GM gave him everything he wanted and needed, ruining and blaming other players on the way. LeBron led a poorly constructed team to the finals in, what, his 3rd year? If Jordan was even twice as egotistical and self centered as LeBron James, he wouldn't have quit basketball 3 times, and likely would have rivaled Russell in championships. It's a shame to see talent go to waste, and that shouldn't be glorified.

One of the greats. A true legend. But I still have to Give the God title to MJ. The eye test and pure skill of MJ for me. Lebron is definitely on mount rushmore

I wouldn’t argue with Isaiah only because he said it correctly. I would say Lebron is more well rounded on the offensive end. Jordan was more aggressive defensively.
@Riri-oj1zs Жыл бұрын
LeBron being more rounded offensively is 100% false. He can't shoot like Mike, he can't post up like Mike, he can't play off the ball like Mike.

My biggest argument is always against the "6-0 in the Finals", as though MJ wasn't trying to get to the Finals is his other 9 seasons. Isn't 10 Finals appearances pretty incredible? To me that's compatible to Winning 6. Just playing devil's advocate here

If LeBron hadn’t made the finals all those times and lost in the first round or didn’t make the playoffs the narrative would be “LeBron can’t get out of the first round” lol smh they penalize him for making it it’s crazy..

You get no chip for losing! Jerry west has 9 appearances and 1 win... you don't bring him up! Cause losses don't matter... who has the most finals losses? Labron James... with 33! He recruits players to his teams... theres a lot of men who don't have rings cause of Mike! There's a lot of men that have rings because of James! Think about that... Labron brought cookies, Mike stole souls! 30.1ppg regular season average and 33.4ppg playoffs... the best ever 19 years AFTER retirement! He was the oldest player to score 50 points at 35! Oldest MVP EVER at 35! The oldest scoring champion at 35! IT'S WAY MORE THAN THE NUMBER 6... SIMPLETONS ALWAYS bring up 6 rings! Not 2 threepeats... not the fact that in 1988 he win scoring champion, league MVP, AND DPLOY! TEN SCORING TITLES? Homie there's so many numbers when talking about Mike... but 6 is all you see? 9 GAME WINNING SHOTS? NOT COUNTING THE ONE HE SUNK TO WIN THE NCAA TITLE AS A FRESHMAN! COME ON MAN... MIKE IS THE NUMBERS!

Best defense in the league that year (Celtics)... jersey retired by the BULLS AND HEAT! NCAA CHAMPION, hit the game winning shot, AS A FRESHMAN! 9 game winning shots in NBA, the most ever! Only received gold in the Olympics, the tournament of America's, and the Pan American games! All Jordan did was win... he didn't chase players or teams, he chased himself! Who knows, if his father wasn't murdered what might have been... Playing as a point guard... Mike averaged 33.6 ppg 11.4 rpg 10.8 apg 2.9 spg 0.8 bpg 51.6 fg% And 10 triple doubles in 11 games, 7 straight! Now what does Mike have over Labron? Please, let's talk genius...

Can you imagine if he played with a teammate like Pippen, Grant , Rodman, Harper and the list goes on for the majority of his career and also played with veteran teammates who checked their egos at the door instead of what he had to deal with during his first 3 or 4 years in the league there’s no telling how many championships he would have let alone the astronomical number of appearances

So now can you imagine King James playing for a hall of fame coach and having a competent general manager who would pick the right players he had to be the best player on the team and be the GM as well.

I think Jordan was one of greatest but I don’t think he ever had to face a team like the GSW or a dynasty like the spurs alone with no help. Yes Jordan was great but his support system was undeniably one of the greatest helps in NBA history. 3 HOFs on a team should be nothing short of a few rings. Even that first 3 peat Jordan had great help on the wings and bigs who knew their role. Hate to say that Lebron only had a real team in Miami and just proved how great he was with winning with a team the cavaliers that year.

Pippen called Lebron the GOAT several times, and called him the best player ever even more....first in 2011 during the Bulls series, when he did not win a single title yet....and you know what? he was right in 2011....he was the best player that we have ever seen until that point, but not even close to be the greatest just yet....he needed individual and team accomplishments to reach that...in my mind, Lebron became the GOAT after the 2018 playoff run where we have seen the best player ever in any era...hard to debate that...GOAT debate is always about what you prefer more...for me, the best player argument is clearly Lebron and Jordan 2nd, the greatest/most iconic player is Jordan 1st, Lebron 2nd, but in my mind, you gotta give the edge to the best player ever...
