Seems like everybody’s got a beef these days. And somehow, a beef that started in the rap game has spilled over into the sports world, pitting two of sports media’s largest stars against one another. Jason and Steve Kim break down the feud between Shaq and Shannon Sharpe.

Down here in Miami, Shaq would infuriate Pat Riley because he would always be lazy and always say how he would turn it on in the playoffs. Shaq would show up for training camp at 375lbs. and need the first two months of the season to get into game shape. Why do you think Riley shipped Shaq’s lazy ass to Phoenix?

Lol. If there was a draft featuring Kobe -1mvp Iverson-1 MVP Garnett -1mvp Barkley -1 MVP Shaq -1 MVP and Nash -2 MVPs Who are you picking first? So what if Kobe called Shaq lazy? How many MVP s did Love's work ethic get him? The same number as lazy Shaq. The argument is stupid. A subjective title like MVP shouldn't even be considered when talking about someone's greatness.

Wilt Chamberlain is by far the most dominant big man ever. Shaq never led the league in rebounds, Wilt averaged 50 points and 25 rebounds in one year. He got 55 rebounds against Bill Russel in one game. You can’t go by titles, Ted Williams never won a ring, he’s the best hitter ever, and served in the war to boot. Don Mattingly never won a ring, he’s arguably the best first baseman ever. Wilts my first pick if I’m choosing sides. Shaq can’t do half the things Jokic can do.

I agree with Shannon. I’m old enough to remember young, prime, and peak Shaq O’Neal. At his peak he was the most dominating force in the history of NBA basketball. The only other big man you could possibly compare was Wilt Chamberlain. But he didn’t take the game as consistently serious as some of the other all-time grates, like MJ, or Bird, or Magic , or Russell, or Olajuwon or especially Kobe. Shaq was like a 3.5 GPA student, who easily could’ve gotten a 4.0, and been valedictorian of his class, but he chose to party and have a good time throughout high school or college. He still graduated near the top of his class, but it’s easy to see that he could’ve and should’ve been even higher.

Mt Rushmore NBA centers, guaranteed spots; 1. Kareem Abdul Jabbar 2. Bill Russell 3. Wilt Chamberlain it's the 4th spot that's up for debate... and maybe that's why Shaq dissed Jokic earlier with the "SGA should be MVP" talks. so many great centers in NBA over the years - Mikan, Moses Malone, Darryl Dawkins, Chief Robert Parish, Bill Walton, Shaq, Hakeem, Ewing, Admiral David Robinson... we haven't even covered defensive centers like Mutombo, Alonzo Mourning, Dwight Howard, we haven't even covered big men that can play centers like Kevin McHale and Tim Duncan, we haven't even covered up and coming big men like Jokic, Embiid, Chet, Wemby! THE LIST IS LONG that i feel i need to apologize for not including names that should be on this list! here's my take - if Jokic continues his dominant trajectory and retires MAKING THE DENVER NUGGETS A DYNASTY (3 rings above) and then some more (KIV), he locks the 4th spot for me. Shaq probably sees it, and that's why he's "defending" his position

Kobe freaking STUNK N that 2004 Finals. Played like STRAIGHT ASS N those Finals except Game 2. Shaq had--- 34 pts 11 boards Game 1. 29 pts 7 boards Game 2. Game 3 Shaq and Kobe were both dreadful and COMBINED for 25 pts and the Lakers had 68 pts total 🤦‍♂️ Game 4 Shaq had 36 pts and 20 boards. ANd Game 5 Kobe was a 🏀 HOG going 7/21 from the field.. Shaq, for the most part had a pretty good Finals N 2004.. Kobe, on the other hand SUCKED. ......

Russel, Chamberlain, Abdul-Jabbar, and Olajuwon. Russel was a superior athlete, Chamberlain was super-human, Jabbar was highly skilled, and Olajuwon had crazy stamina; he ate every other center's lunch in the 4th quarter.

I would put Zach Thomas as the fourth. His numbers are absolutely unbelievable for an inside LB at maybe 5’10” (he’s listed as 5’11”, but those numbers are usually inflated for someone under 6 foot).

The best analogy for how Shaq wasted his talent is the two John Williams' who played in the NBA at the same time--Hot Rod and Hot Plate. Hot Rod was always in shape and maximized his talent. Hot Plate was a poor man's Magic Johnson; but he couldn't put the fork down.

Inside The Nba needs to go away. If I'm an NBA player or employee, I don't want this man Insulting my players on live tv(Donavan Mitchell) Telling an MVP Recipient that he didn't deserve to win,(Jokic) or telling the world that the games suck. When I was growing up NBC had The Roundball Rock Theme song made by John Tesh, and The announcers and analysts did their jobs with class and didn't cater to negative elements of entertainment. Basketball deserves better.

Wilt-Russell-Hakeem-Kareem Dream beat Shaq in the head-to-head (95 Finals). Shaq is NOT on my Mt. Rushmore of 5’s. However, Shaq is a top 8 basketball player of All-Time. He’s in my 6-8 with Wilt, & LeBron. (1-5 Russell-Jordan-Magic-Kareem-Bird). These 3 players are the most dominant forces to play the game. The reason they aren’t top 5 is because they left too much on the table and didn’t dominate the league like they could have. My same argument that Lebron isn’t top 5 is my same reason why Shaq isn’t top 5. This is not to diminish any of these players. It’s just fact.

If you go all time NBA Mt Rushmore of centers. And I would define goats to include changing the game for the position you play. George Mikan , Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlein and Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Shaq, Hakeem, David Robinson/Tim Duncan are my next tier. But those first four have to be there because without them you don’t have the next on the list. And that’s not disrespecting Moses.
