Lol, I used to tell a select few of ladies my name was Bartholomew Warnowski. Side note, buddy said LeBron wanted to be liked. Jordan had something to prove after being cut in HS, Kobe had something to prove but took on the persona of Jordan. They are dang near one in the same, more so because of Kobe's obsession. LeBron isn't either of those as far as personality. That is why he gets slighted, even though his actions speak louder than his persona.

Nash actually avgd. 15.5 & 18.8 those mvp seasons, Diesel. He led the league in assists both seasons, contributing to about 40 PPG and 43 PPG, with EF FG% of 55% & 58%, 43% from 3. He at least deserved '06. Not sure if you can give mvp to a guy shooting 46% from the FT line, Shaq.

It's a lot easier to have great defensive stats when that's about all you have to concentrate on and you can rest of offense. Gobert has NEVER been an offensive focal point on his teams. Try having those def. stats when you're expected to score 24+ a game. Same with Ben Wallace. I loved Big Ben as a player, and he was a truly great defensive player, but that's all he had to do was play def., incl. def. rebounds, and set picks. He wasn't 4 times better on 'D' than KG or Duncan, like Gobert hasn't been a better defender than guys like KCP, Beverly, or AD.

Lol Shaq wasn't even in the top 10 in voting in 2006 so Nash at best "stole" one. But by his own criteria why did he deserve it in 05? He wasn't top 10 in scoring. He managed 10 boards which is respectable but not crazy numbers. He has 2.7 assists per game. 2.3 blocks which again is respectable but he isn't leading the league there. So even if he wants to completely discount Nash why exactly does he deserve it over Kobe, LeBron, or Dirk?

Thank you! All those tools who vote for DPOY do is look at ONE stat, clearly. There's one analytical stat that nearly every DPOY winner for a decade or more has been at the top of, and it seems that's all the voters care about. Not sure how they gauge it just by def. +/- when another player has more BPG, twice as many SPG, and as many def. RPG as Gobert while getting as many or more deflections and altering more shots than him. One year Giannis won DPOY w/ just 1 BPG & 1 SPG!
