Daddy did drugs, Mommy didn't, look who's productive and who's scrambling to get by even after quitting the drugs TWELVE YEARS AGO? Let her use the information to make up her own mind. Criticizing someone else for YOUR mistakes is being a hypocrite, and THAT, more than anything else, is why people won't listen.

The thing is that as our favorite athletes get old, we also get old. Following a career makes you reflect on your own mortality a bit. You also come to terms at some point that your life is a certain way, and whatever you accomplish, it eventually turns to dust with you and eventually you're completely forgotten. Before I leave anybody with a sense of existential dread, that doesn't mean life is meaningless. This man is one of the greatest human beings in the world, his accomplishments in the NBA are nothing compared to his accomplishments as a father, a son a friend, a mentor and even an idol to certain kids n adults alike. this man will never know how much good he's done to those around him.
