I had a very big to tibeten mastiff and for some reason he was afraid of the stairs so used to put them in the middle and see what he would do he figured it out

Hey Beth, beautiful shar-pei you have. Just to let you know they’re a breed which suffers from hip dysplasia, so stairs can cause damage to the joints over time. I hope you can find a way to limit his stair use, maybe a gate perhaps. Other than that I wish you and pup long life together. My little guy’s almost 12 now, they’re a special breed

He doesn’t have any health issues that are associated with being a shar Pei. He has a problem with his jaw, and he is very anxious. Neither of those issues are typical to shar Pei. He was born like that.
