You can hear these scriptures your whole life and nod along without truly understanding their depth. But it’s when you are really going through a struggle that those words become a lifeline. Though you do have to intentionally believe them and allow them to comfort you. This was beautiful example of how to still thrive in the midst of loss, and it’s such an encouragement to me. I love the unity between you guys. Sending hugs and prayers! ❤️

I had recurring miscarriages at about the same 6ish week mark and it was my body not making progesterone naturally which you can't tell unless you're pregnant and measure it weekly. When I took it synthetically I carried to full term. Also, undiagnosed celiac disease is linked to miscarriage too. I was also tested for that. I know you likely have tested these things but just sharing my experience. Xx

My friend had a few miscarriages and a year ago she *finally* had a successful pregnancy and birth. We were hanging out one day and she said to me, “When I hold her, I just *know* that she is the baby I was meant to have.” Everything happens for a reason and when your baby is finally here, whether through birth or adoption, you are going to *know* that it’s right and everything is going to fall into place the way it was meant to be ❤️

Thanks so much for your openness and especially explaining your thoughts on adoption. So much wisdom that I hadn't considered but you're so right. When Abraham and Sarah didn't see the promise of a son when they expected, they took it into their own hands through Hagar, but that wasn't God's plan for them even though it was still a son. I pray that as you seek him you would receive clear guidance from the Holy Spirit and that you'll be completely satisfied in the Lord.

To this day the doctors cannot explain why my dear friend cannot carry a child. After many years of running down every avenue to try to get pregnant, and no answers as to why nothing was working, they finally were chosen by a birth mom to adopt a sweet baby girl this year on Jan 3. It was the most beautiful union of love I've ever seen. The moment she called me to say they were on their way to meet their child it was like years of built up hopelessness was released and transformed into a joy that penetrated my bones. It was like watching a still, lifeless chrysalis for months on end, wondering if it was dead, and then FINALLY seeing the wings of the butterfly break through its walls, for it had not been dead, it had been transforming the entire time. Everyone's journey is different but having walked side-by-side with my sweet friend during those desert-wandering years, I can say that letting her feel whatever she needed to feel, when she needed to feel it, and holding space for her to be angry, mad, sad, lost, confused, etc was the only thing I could do and it was the only thing she wanted. I hope you have people to surround you that won't try to tell you how to feel or why you should handle this a certain way, but rather will hold space for you to FEEL exactly what you are feeling. I am praying that you'll both remove all expectations from yourselves and allow anger, disappointment, sadness, grief, confusion, hopelessness, anxiety, etc to flow THROUGH you so that those emotions don't get STUCK in you. Transformation is happening even if it has the appearance of death. (True story: I have a friend who's daughter caught a caterpillar and made it her pet. She put it in a huge jar with everything it needed. It made its cacoon and although it typically takes 2 weeks for a butterfly to emerge, this one took 9 MONTHS. For 9 months she wondered if it were still alive. For 9 months she held her breath waiting for it to emerge. She almost surrendered to the idea of death but then, finally, it made its debut. They released the butterfly as a family, remembering all that had happened during that nine months. They thought it was dead but for 9 months it was transforming.)

It frustrates me to no end that people always go to "have you thought about adopting?" when people share their infertility struggle. It downplays the struggle.... I dont think people get how nuanced this medical issue is and how hurtful it can be to "offer" a solution (adoption) like it solves everything. I'm sorry you guys are going through this...
@ExistentialIzzy
@ExistentialIzzy 4 жыл бұрын
Perhaps it's the only consolation others can "offer". I mean, "I'm sorry" doesn't quite cut it. It's normal for others to want to help, and not know how. My heart is heavy you would shame others for not "properly consoling" others in their time of grief. May your holy spirit soften your heart to others. Much love.
@bananavage
@bananavage 4 жыл бұрын
@@ExistentialIzzy see I disagree... I'm sorry is perfectly fine. People struggling with infertility are looking for support... not solutions! As someone has been told "you can just adopt" I can guarentee it's not my heart that needs to be softened to the issue. Until someone goes through this journey, they have no idea how comments like this, although well meaning, are actually quite hurtful.
@WatchingNinja
@WatchingNinja 4 жыл бұрын
I think people mean well with it but it also depends on the person. If it's hurtful then tell them. I'm facing possibly infertility and have many lovely friends talk to me about adoption. I feel really loved and supported by their comments. I don't think it downplays my issues at all. They can't fix my autoimmune disease but they still want to support me in wanting to be a parent.
@sfrancies87
@sfrancies87 4 жыл бұрын
I think if you want to be a parent that badly you would open your heart to a child and adopt. Being a parent shouldn't be conditional. That's like saying I only want a child that has blond hair. Saying I only want a child that has my genes seems similar. A child is a child and it's love and attitude that makes a family not biology.

Have you checked your hormonal levels? That used to happen to my mom, she'd get pregnant without any trouble and then miscarry in the first trimester. After going to different doctors it turned out that some of her hormones were really low. She also has a blood clotting disorder that wont allow her blood to clot properly and that led her to have hematomas in the uterus which was part of the reason why she would miscarry so they would give her progesterone to help her body keep the pregnancy. I would recommend you guys checking that out just to make sure. Another thing could be endometriosis, my cousin has endometriosis and she got pregnant in her early twenties and miscarried just like you guys. She was then diagnosed with endo in her mid twenties and had to go through an operation where they basically cleaned out her uterus from all the blod clots and thats when she was finally able to carry a pregnancy to full term.

My wife and I had a similar story, married in 2011, 3 miscarriages and 1 failed IVF cycle. You should get checked for balanced translocation if you haven't already, that's what was causing our difficulties in getting and staying pregnant. We kept at it though and gave birth to our first child this past month. Hang in there

ID LIKE TO MAKE a public announcement in saying that I am in fact an IVF baby and a proud catholic girl. my parents could not have a baby either and decided what was best for them. I couldn’t imagine a person who shies away from this method of having a child. I am perfectly healthy and PROUD TO BE AN IVF baby and I have such an amazing support system I’m practically a celebrity. Proud to answer any questions about me and I promise those of you in a struggle (sorry bad word) you won’t regret this decision to birth someone like me. 🙂

With IVF there need to be more eggs fertilized with sperm than just the one that eventually became You. These unused eggs often get discarded of- so that is why many people don't like the idea of IVF.

ela kahrer but you’re period literally gets rid of eggs every month so it’s basically the same
@AdvantageousAngie
@AdvantageousAngie 4 жыл бұрын
@@cjxh8939 Your period gets rid of unfertilized eggs. Many Christians believe life begins at conception. (When they egg and sperm meet and the cells begin to divide) DNA is created and the cells start rapidly dividing into an embryo. They have to fertilize multiple eggs and create multiple embryos to do one round of IVF, and then majority of them are discarded. Or if the parents want to keep them all, they still discard ones that don't meet their standards of development. And many Christians believe all life disserves a chance and a womb. I often see people equate sperm or eggs to being the same thing as a fertilized eggs. They are just parts that make a baby, not the baby itself. An un fertilized egg, while important, is just an egg. A fertilized egg has its own DNA and has every potential to become a person with their hair color, eye color, food preferences all already mapped out.

Thank you guys for opening your hearts to us in this way, it means the world to your sisters in Christ❤️ your story, even the hurt in the heartache and waiting and loss, is going to really help others in a similar season. Your honesty is so needed, because pain does make us question...like David in the Psalms we can bring all our feelings and wrestlings to the Lord and trust His character and love. Love you guys, your ministry has hugely impacted my growth as a young woman for years✝ much love to you and Zack. Praying for you!!

One of the best videos on your channel. You are not just following the Lord for his blessings (like the counterfeit prosperity gospel), but following Him for who He is - his love demonstrated to us sinners through his death and resurrection. ❤️

Wow. Thank you so much for your transparency. This is so hard for you two. Thank you for valuing human life so much in a world that does not value it at all.
