Today we are doing our draft horse chores with our grandchildren and sharing the love of horses with the next generation! Our grandkids are up for Thanksgiving and they are getting very good at doing the morning horse chores, brushing horses, and they each wanted a chance to sit on the horses' backs!
Merchandise ► www.workinghorseswithjim.com/...
Watch our videos to learn about draft horses- horse logging, horses farming, and horse training! Jim uses Belgian, Percheron, and Suffolk horses to do work on the farm and in the woods. He teaches about harnesses, horse-drawn logging and farming equipment, horse feeding and maintenance, and voice commands for horses. New videos uploaded every week. Keep watching to see how Jim trains his new Suffolk Punch colts as he has trained his full-grown teams!

This video had me smiling all the way through. So nice to see kids up and dressed and in the barn while it's still dark out. What a wonderful opportunity for these children to learn skills and make memories with their grandparents that they'll remember their whole lives. it's also refreshing to see children that don't have a phone or a game controller in their hands as well. And those Suffolks. What great boys they are. They'd probably let those kids sit on them all day as long as they could continue eating!

James is the really strong and seems to like to test his limits. Helping his sister carrying a barrel of hay. Throwing those 8 barrels down from the hay loft. Noel seems very patient with herself and her younger brothers. Elis Marie is Very responsible. I think they all are very good helpers and love the horses. Ike is really brave and careful not shy at all. Amazing children. Their parents should be proud of each one. Grand parents probably think grand kids would give them such a helping hand. I was smiling trough the whole video with the children. So much fun! Very Polite and well behaved.

What an absolutely awesome, entertaining video. The kids laughter and joy at being able to partake of the work with Grandpa and Grandma was heartwarming. By including them and allowing them to have hands on experiences with the horses, the feeding and even the mucking out of the stalls you have blessed them with lasting memories that they will carry with them all their lives. Letting boys be boys, climbing, running and yahooing the entire time was a treat to watch. The girls being older were taking a more helpful approach and their beaming smiles were always the icing on the cake when they finished their task. Your love and patience with the kids reflected the unconditional love that each of you possess for your family. Thank you for sharing this episode of life on the farm with us, your viewers. May God's blessings cover you always. ❤

That is the hardest working young lady I have every seen. I think she takes after her auntie Abbey. But I’m sure all you kids are like that, good grand parents, good parents, equals great kids. Be happy to know you did a great job raising your kids. It was so enjoyable to see them all wanting to help. I grew up on a farm in the forties, and fifties, and my dad farmed with horses, Dick, and Queen, I remember when , he got his first John Deere tractor, how proud he was, I think he had sold some pigs or cows to pay for it. Thanks for the memories. 🙏
