Shark Fishing New Smyrna Beach, We caught a Big Blacktip Shark a Pompano and some Big Whiting. We have been Shark Fishing as much as possible trying to catch our first Shark of the year! We were very happy to get the Big Blacktip Shark which was 68 inches long and took 8 minutes to get in. My wife also had a very good day of surf fishing, She caught a nice size Pompano plus some big whiting and a Bluefish. She caught a total of 14 Whiting which is the main shark bait we use when we are Shark Fishing at New Smyrna Beach. We are still after the Big Blacktip Sharks over 6ft so We will continue to go Surf Fishing as much as we can, Thanks for Watching!!

BAIT - Whiting Head

He was a solid Blacktip and we were happy to get the first Shark of the year, But we are still after the 6ft+ Blacktips! She is probably taking the Shark rod on the next trip😀and I will run around and do the filming!

we got two more days in new smyrna and got one bout 90 pound blacktip so far! hopefully will get another before we leave

Congratulations that is a solid Blacktip they are definitely out there! A guy caught one that took him down the beach within 75 yards of us before he got it in, I was getting ready to reel my rods! In!! We are getting ready to get back out there, Good luck!!

Hey bro love your vids... can u do a vid on casting the shark rigs.. i am concern with the guides on the rods can it be damaged with where the braid meets the leader... what knots do u use and how does it pass trough the guides...

Glad you like the videos, We use the FG knot when using single strand mono and it is probably the best casting braid to mono knot! With my main shark leaders I tie a 5 turn surgeons loop and put a drop of super glue on the knot. I connect to it the loop on my twisted mono GT leaders with a Cats Paw knot which is a loop to loop connection done 5 times through. Using those knots while you do hear them going through the guides, They will not harm the guides. Thanks again for Watching!!

We have been surf fishing together for 15 years and Freshwater fishing more than 35 years! So with all of those years of experience and her love of fishing she has gotten really good at both surf fishing and bass fishing. Catching the Big Sharks has been the ultimate highlight of all the fishing she has ever done!😀 Thanks again for Watching!!
